    摘要: A power controller includes a full-wave bridge rectifier circuit coupled to an A.C. line by a storage inductor with two windings and a saturating inductor. The output of the bridge rectifier is connected to a D.C. output terminal for producing output voltages for a symmetrical amplifier. The D.C. potential provided by the full-wave rectifier is compared with a ramp signal having an external ramp set point related to the D.C. output potential relative to a reference potential to provide a trigger pulse for controlling the time the SCR is gated on. A balancing system selectively switches auxiliary resistances in and out to maintain a desired balance. Upon sensing a gross imbalance, the SCR is turned off. The power controlling apparatus includes isolation circuitry for creating an isolation barrier having a high frequency path and a low frequency path. The high frequency path includes a transformer having main primary and secondary windings. The transformer also includes an auxiliary primary winding whose output is combined with the signal on the input terminal to provide low frequency spectral components of the input signal that are coupled across the barrier by an electro-optical coupler that energize a low pass filter. The output of the low pass filter is combined with the signal on the secondary of the transformer to provide the isolated output signal. The power amplifier also includes bias control circuitry including a differential amplifier having two transistors with emitters connected together and bases direct coupled to respective emitters of the output Darlington transistors. The respective collectors are direct coupled to respective bases of the output Darlington transistors. A capacitor is connected between the bases of the two transistors.

    摘要: A three-phase regenerative rectifier provides power flow from ac to dc using a three-phase rectifier bridge. The reversal of the input ac voltage at the input frequency commutates current in the rectifier devices. A power transistor or field-effect transistor is coupled in inverse parallel with each rectifier device to provide a path for current from the dc output of the rectifier back to the ac supply during regeneration. The rectifier devices can be phase controlled thyristors or diodes. Control means sense the three-phase voltage and switch the transistors in phase with the ac supply. Commutation of the transistors is provided by their self-contained turn-off capabilities.

    摘要: A control circuit for a power converter which converts between polyphase periodic power and unidirectional power is disclosed. The control circuit includes first means for sensing a parameter of the periodic power and a ramp generator coupled to the first means for generating a ramp signal having a frequency equal to the frequency of the periodic power. A second means senses a parameter representative of a condition at the output of the power converter and a comparator combines the outputs from the ramp generator and the second means to generate a pulse train having a frequency equal to the frequency of the periodic power but shifted in time relative thereto, with the shift being dependent upon the output parameter. A phase-locked loop, of PLL, multiplies the frequency of the pulse train and additionally develops a signal which is coupled to the ramp generator to maintain the amplitude of the output therefrom at a constant level irrespective of changes in frequency of the periodic power. Multi-phase logic is coupled to the PLL and develops switching signals for switches in the converter.

    摘要: A high response motor controller is disclosed which operates directly from a multi-phase AC power line without a DC link. The controller directly converts power from a fixed frequency multi-phase input to a D.C. or variable frequency output current. The output frequency is not limited by the AC power line frequency and the switching frequency is independent of the AC power line frequency. Controlled switching devices are connected between the multi-phase power input line and the power output line. Analog input signals are compared with signals representative of actual motor currents to produce current error signals. These current error signals control the conduction state of the controlled switching output transistors by a two state modulation process. The controlled switching output devices required to conduct the commanded motor current are selected by sensing and logically comparing the relative voltages of the various AC input line phases to utilize the phase lines having the greatest potential difference therebetween.

    摘要: By controlling the phase angle at which conduction occurs in the SCR's in an SCR rectifier bridge, a d-c voltage of adjustable magnitude may be produced from a-c line voltage applied to the bridge. The specific angle at which the SCR's are fired into conduction during each half cycle of the a-c line voltage is determined by comparing a ramp-shaped pulse, produced from the line voltage during each half cycle, with an error signal which varies as a function of the difference between the desired d-c magnitude and the actual amplitude of the d-c voltage. The d-c power supply is made immune to line voltage variations by regulating the ramp-shaped pulses so that they always have the same pulse width regardless of line voltage amplitude, thereby facilitating precise control over the d-c magnitude.
