摘要: A method of estimating the sequence of transmitted symbols in a digital communication system is provided. By assuming that the transmitted symbols have a zero mean and a covariance matrix given by an identity matrix, as is the case in an EDGE communication system, the solution to the minimization of the expectation value of ∥{circumflex over (s)}−s∥2 always allows a lower triangular matrix to be found through Cholesky decomposition. The lower triangular matrix allows an efficient block decision-feedback sequence estimation to be carried out. The method is no more complex than the zero-forcing block decision-feedback sequence estimation technique, yet a solution always exists and performance is improved over the zero-forcing method.

摘要: A signal transmission system is constructed to transmit data over a signal transmission line without requiring precharging the signal transmission line for every bit, by eliminating the intersymbol interference component introduced by preceding data. The signal transmission line has a plurality of switchable signal transmission lines organized in a branching structure or a hierarchical structure, at least one target unit from which to read data is connected to each of the plurality of signal transmission lines, and a readout circuit including a circuit for eliminating the intersymbol interference component is connected to the signal transmission line, wherein the intersymbol interference component elimination circuit reduces noise introduced when the signal transmission line is switched between the plurality of signal transmission lines, and thereby provides a smooth intersymbol interference component elimination operation when the signal transmission line is switched. This makes continuous readout possible and achieves an increase in the overall speed of the signal transmission system.

摘要: A method and corresponding apparatus for communicating a controller area network (CAN) message between a sending node, attached to a sending CAN network, and a receiving node, where the sending and receiving nodes are interconnected by a network communicating according to transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP). The invention provides for having the sending node extract the CAN message payload (arbitration field, control field and data field if any) from a CAN message, having it embed the CAN message payload in a TCP/IP frame as the TCP/IP data field of the TCP/IP frame, having it refer to a routing form to determine the address on the TCP/IP network of the receiving node; and having it transmit the TCP/IP frame over the TCP/IP network using the address for the receiving node from the routing form. The invention also provides for having the receiving node extract the CAN message payload from the TCP/IP frame, and alter the identifier of the CAN message payload, as needed, so as to correspond to the CAN message content at the receiving node (i.e. in case the receiving node is attached to a receiving CAN network, to correspond to the CAN message content of the receiving CAN network, but if the receiving node hosts a browser and is not attached to a receiving CAN network, to correspond to the CAN message content according to the preference of the user of the browser), the altering performed by reference to a mapping-relating identifiers based on the network address of the sending node.

摘要: A system for multi-carrier transmission which can secure the transmission capacity under the noise environment whose noise changes cyclically is provided. A mapping section in an ATU-C (ADSL transceiver unit, central office end) memorizes the bit allocation allocating to each carrier and transmission power allocation using for each carrier at the period that the noise generated at the data transmission to a downstream direction is large and the bit allocation allocating to each carrier and transmission power allocation using for each carrier at the period that the noise generated at the data transmission to an upstream direction is large. And a demapping section in an ATU-R (ADSL transceiver unit, remote terminal end) also memorizes the memorized bit allocation and transmission power allocation. At the time of the data transmission to the downstream direction, the bit allocation and transmission power allocation is allocated to each carrier of the high frequency band, by making the bit rate at the period that the noise generated at the data transmission to the downstream direction is small higher than the bit rate at the period that the noise is large. With this, the transmission capacity to the downstream direction can be secured.

摘要: An apparatus of a digital echo canceller and method therefor, a designed selector is used values of receiving and input signals to estimate the length of a cable. The response values of an insignificant part of the echo signal can be selected. Multiplication and addition operations are carried out in a response region of a significant part of the echo signal. An estimated echo signal is produced to cancel the echo signal, unnecessary operations and the cost of a hardware can be reduced.

摘要: An actively shielded, superconducting magnet arrangement for the generation of a magnetic field in the direction of a z axis in a working volume arranged about z=0, having a radially inner and a radially outer coaxial coil system, wherein the two coil systems carry the same current and have dipole moments of the same magnitude, but of opposite directions, wherein parts of the radially outer coil system (C2′) are electrically connected in series with the radially inner coil system (C1) and wherein a first superconducting switch (S1) is provided via which during operation a superconducting short circuit of a first current path of the magnet arrangement can be effected, is characterized in that a section (A′) of the radially outer coil system (C2′), which can be superconductingly short-circuited during operation via a further superconducting switch (S2) is arranged symmetrically to the plane z=0 and that the further superconducting current path formed by the superconductingly short-circuited section is inductively decoupled from the other parts of the magnet arrangement connected in series. In this way, undesired side effects like an increase of the magnet drift or uncontrolled charging of the section (distortion with time of homogeneity, possible increase of the stray field, charging up to quenching) are avoided with simple means without the necessity of a current limiter.
