Abstract: Systems and methods for distributed edge computing to deliver multi-access edge computing (MEC) and cellular access on a mobile network. The edge computing platform reduces latency and increases network throughput to devices by locating edge server nodes in close proximity to the devices. The systems and methods include a network of edge platform nodes operable to provide enhanced mobile coverage and accelerated content delivery for private and/or public mobile network operator (MNO) customers. The present invention is operable to create a private cellular network, wherein the cellular wireless network is also accessible by devices of mobile networks outside of the private cellular network. while still maintaining necessary privacy and quality of service. The present invention is also operable to create a public cellular network using the same node infrastructure and edge computing platform. At least one node is registered in a global registry using a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) POST request to a global service address, and the global registry is associated with the at least one platform.

Abstract: Systems for locating server nodes for edge devices using latency-based georouting. A cloud platform including at least one cloud platform router and a node database is in network communication with at least one edge device and server nodes, and receives a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) request from the at least one edge device. The database is queried using an application programming interface (API) query and data is fetched from the plurality of server nodes. A query result is returned indicating a nearest node from the server nodes. The HTTP request is responded to with a unique hypertext markup language (HTML) web page. The HTTP request is executed using the nearest node. The API query to the database includes API query parameters, including geolocation for the edge device, which is appended to the API query parameters to a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI).

Abstract: Techniques for tunneling Layer 2 ethernet frames over a connection tunnel using the MASQUE protocol are described herein. The MASQUE protocol may be extended to include a new entity, configured to proxy ethernet frames using a MASQUE proxy connection, and an associated CONNECT method, CONNECT-ETH. Using the extended MASQUE protocol, an Ethernet over MASQUE (EoMASQUE) tunnel may then be established between various networks that are remote from one another and connected to the internet. An EoMASQUE tunnel, established between separate remote client premises, and/or between a remote client premise and an enterprise premise, may tunnel ethernet packets between the endpoints. Additionally, a first EoMASQUE tunnel, established between a first client router provisioned in a first remote client premise and an EoMASQUE proxy node, and a second EoMASQUE tunnel, established between a second client premise and the EoMASQUE proxy node, may tunnel ethernet packets between the first and second client premise.

Abstract: A method for intermediary client reconnection to a preferred server in a high availability server cluster. The method includes monitoring a persistent connection of a logical connection to a preferred server to identify an unavailability of the preferred server, establishing a temporary persistent connection for the logical connection to an available server to replace an unavailable preferred server, prompting attempts to reconnect to the preferred server at intervals, and providing a connection switching pool and simultaneously re-establishing a persistent connection with the preferred server for the logical connection using the connection switching pool while terminating the temporary persistent connection to the available server. The connection switching pool and a main connection pool used by the persistent connection allow for simultaneously maintaining two connections to different servers in a same server cluster for the logical connection.
