摘要: Systems for orthodontic treatments are provided. In some embodiments, a system includes an attachment configured to be coupled to a tooth of a patient, the attachment having a first elasticity. The system can also include an orthodontic appliance having a shell with a plurality of teeth-receiving cavities shaped to reposition the patient's teeth from a first arrangement toward a second arrangement. The shell can have a second elasticity less than the first elasticity. The orthodontic appliance can include an attachment-receiving well formed in the shell. When the orthodontic appliance is worn on the patient's teeth, the attachment-receiving well can engage the attachment to effect a movement of at least one tooth of the patient.

摘要: A method of manufacturing customized ceramic labial/lingual orthodontic brackets by digital light processing, said method comprises measuring dentition data of a profile of teeth of a patient, wherein measuring dentition data is performed using a CT scanner or intra-oral scanner, based on the dentition data, creating a three dimensional computer-assisted design (3D CAD) model of the patient's teeth using reverse engineering, and saving the 3D CAD model on a computer, designing a 3D CAD bracket structure model for a single labial or lingual bracket structure, importing the 3D CAD bracket structure model into a Digital Light Processing (DLP) machine, directly producing the bracket by layer manufacturing.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of manufacturing customized ceramic labial/lingual orthodontic brackets by additive manufacturing may comprise measuring dentition data of a profile of teeth of a patient, based on the dentition data, creating a three dimensional computer-assisted design (3D CAD) model of the patient's teeth, and saving the 3D CAD model, designing a virtual 3D CAD bracket structure model for a single labial or lingual bracket structure based upon said 3D CAD model, importing data related to the 3D CAD bracket structure model into an additive manufacturing machine, and directly producing the bracket with the additive manufacturing machine by layer manufacturing from an inorganic material including at least one of a ceramic, a polymer-derived ceramic, and a polymer-derived metal.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for attaching one or more dental attachments to a dentition. Methods may include placing an attachment placement apparatus on the dentition such that contoured surfaces of the attachment placement apparatus are aligned with correspondingly shaped tooth surfaces of the dentition. A body of the attachment placement apparatus may position the dental attachment(s) against specified location(s) on one or more teeth of the dentition. The dental attachment(s) may be coupled to supports that extend from the body. The supports may include breakable regions configured to be broken to facilitate removal of a corresponding dental attachment from the body. The supports may position the dental attachment(s) within corresponding aperture(s) of the attachment placement apparatus. The dental attachment(s) may be secured at the specified location(s) on the teeth.

摘要: Methods of forming wire attachment appliances. Methods may include forming a shell having multiple cavities and an attachment material reservoir within a first cavity of the multiple cavities. The attachment material reservoir may be positioned such that, when the wire attachment appliance is positioned on a dental arch, an attachment material provided within the attachment material reservoir is arranged to contact a surface of a particular tooth for attaching a wire to the particular tooth. Forming the wire attachment appliance may further include forming at least two wire attachment members on an interior surface of at least two second cavities of the multiple cavities. The at least two wire attachment members may be shaped to hold the wire in position with respect to the particular tooth.

At least a portion of the second plurality of forces may be configured to oppose the first plurality of forces. The first counter moment and the second counter moment may be configured to be coupled to form a differential moment.

The appliances of the present disclosure incorporate a door slidably engaged to a channel in the body; one that can be opened or closed depending on the equilibrium position of an integral protrusion on the door. Cooperating grooves and rails on the body and the door can guide the door between the open and closed positions, and mitigate against unintentional detachment.

摘要: Orthodontic systems are disclosed herein. According to some embodiments, the present technology includes a securing member configured to be secured to a patient's tooth and an orthodontic appliance comprising a resiliently deformable attachment portion configured to be releasably secured to the securing member. The attachment portion can be moveable between an attached state in which the orthodontic appliance exerts active and/or retentive orthodontic force on the tooth via the attachment portion and the securing member when the securing member is secured to the tooth and a detached state in which the orthodontic appliance is operably disconnected from the securing member. The securing member can comprise a plurality of protrusions configured to engage the attachment portion when the attachment portion is in the attached state.
