摘要: Patient transport apparatus with defined transport height comprises a support structure and a litter that are interconnected by a lift mechanism. The support structure comprises a base frame and a plurality of articulable support members or legs. The litter comprises a litter frame and a patient support surface with articulating back and leg sections. The lift mechanism may comprise one or more actuators configured to raise and lower the litter between a lowered position and one or more defined raised positions. The Patient transport apparatus may further comprise a controller coupled to one or more sensors and the lift mechanism. The controller may be configured to define a transport height for the litter based, at least in part, on a characteristic detected by the one or more sensors, and to manipulate the lift mechanism to adjust the litter to the defined transport height.

摘要: A patient support, such as a bed, a cot, a stretcher, or the like, for supporting an occupant includes sensors adapted to detect a status of the patient support, such as the width of the width-adjustable patient support component or the locked or unlocked state of the patient support component. A control system for the patient support is configured to determine if the patient support is in an unacceptable status, such as an unacceptable width configuration or an unlocked state, based on the sensed status. The control system is adapted to issue an alert or take action or prompt a caregiver to take an action if the patient support status is unacceptable.

摘要: A caregiver assistance system for assisting a caregiver in a healthcare facility to perform his or her rounding duties comprises a server in communication with one or more patient beds and one or more electronic devices (e.g. smart phones) that are remote from the beds and that include a display, a user input, and a web browser. The server executes a caregiver assistance application that causes the electronic device to perform the following actions after the web browser of the electronic device accesses a particular URL whose content and function are controlled by the caregiver assistance application: (a) display rounding information on the display relating to a patient associated with the bed, and (b) forward a completion indication to the caregiver assistance application wherein the completion indication is generated in response to a caregiver manipulating the user input when the caregiver has completed a rounding task associated with the patient.

摘要: A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, or the like, includes an exit detection system and/or a monitoring system that monitors a set of conditions of the patient support apparatus. A user interface of the exit detection system includes a first navigation control for navigating to a control screen for the exit detection system and a second navigation control for navigating to a control screen for the monitoring system. Each navigation control also functions as an automatic arming control, thereby causing the respective exit detection system and monitoring system to be armed. In this manner, a single touch of a navigation control implements the dual function of automatically arming the corresponding system and taking the user to a control screen for the corresponding system. The automatically armed system is armed using one or more preset settings or one or more settings customized to a particular patient.

摘要: There is provided a patient support that may be adjustable in height, width, length or a combination thereof. The patient support may be useable with normal sized patients or with bariatric patients. The patient support has a variety of features to enhance operability and/or functionality, including a width adjustable caster frame, width adjustable deck portions, a width adjustable headboard and an extendible foot board to provide extra length. An enhanced lift mechanism can accommodate bariatric patients and alternative functionality in achieving deck positions improves patient comfort. Various parts of the patient support including deck panels and the footboard may be removed and replaced with ease without complicated connectors.

摘要: A lift system includes a support configured to maintain a bed frame thereon. The support is defined by a first swing arm opposing a second swing arm and a pivoting plate opposing an end plate. First ends of the swing arms are configured to swing outward about ends of the pivoting plate. Second ends of the swing arms removably attach to the end plate to form a rectangular structure for securely receiving a bed frame. The lift system also includes a storage unit defined by a lift gate configured within an interior of the storage unit. The lift gate includes a linear actuator for converting the support between a folded and an unfolded position by manipulating the pivoting plate coupled to the linear actuator. A controller is provided for controlling the lift gate.

摘要: A patient support system including a frame having first and second portions, at least one of them movable with respect to the other to transition the frame between a first configuration and a second configuration. A first port is coupled to the first portion of the frame, and a second port disposed with the second portion of the frame, such that a distance between the first port and the second port changes when the frame transitions between the first and second configurations. A fluid conduit is arranged between the first port and the second port and configured to transition between a first length and a second length, longer than the first length, when the frame is transitioned between the first and second configurations. The fluid conduit is configured with a resiliency to naturally return toward the first length. A method of using a patient support system is also included.
