Abstract: The present application provides a continuous preparation system and method for vinylidene chloride. In the present application, by coupling two stages of high gravity reactors, the product vinylidene chloride and water vapor are distilled from a reaction system in form of an azeotrope by adopting a water vapor steam stripping method, and the product obtained using the method has high purity. In addition, by combining steam stripping and high gravity, trichloroethane and alkali solution are rapidly mixed for mass transfer, and the product vinylidene chloride is rapidly distilled from the reaction system in form of the azeotrope (based on rapid diffusion of water vapor), such that the reaction proceeds continuously towards the direction of producing vinylidene chloride, thus significantly improving the conversion rate. As proved by a test apparatus, the present application can stabilize the purity of the vinylidene chloride product at 98% or more (mass fraction), decrease the TOC value of chloride salt wastewater to 100 mg/L or less, and decrease the consumption of materials and the cost of subsequent salt-containing wastewater treatment.

Abstract: A process can be used for performing a pyrolysis of hydrocarbons in a rotary drum reactor at a temperature in the range of from 600 to 1800° C. The heat for the endothermic pyrolysis is provided by resistive heating of at least one particulate electrically conductive material introduced into said rotary drum reactor and moved through the rotary drum reactor with a flow of a hydrocarbon. The rotary drum reactor contains (A) an inner wall made of electrically insulated material, (B) a pressure-bearing outer wall, and (C) an electrical heating system attached to the inner wall and/or at least one integrated electrically conducting electrode pair. The at least one electrode pair is located at both ends of the inner wall of the rotary drum.

Abstract: Methods and devices and aspects thereof for generating power using PEM fuel cell power systems comprising a rotary bed (or rotatable) reactor for hydrogen generation are disclosed. Hydrogen is generated by the hydrolysis of fuels such as lithium aluminum hydride and mixtures thereof. Water required for hydrolysis may be captured from the fuel cell exhaust. Water is preferably fed to the reactor in the form of a mist generated by an atomizer. An exemplary 750 We-h, 400 We PEM fuel cell power system may be characterized by a specific energy of about 550 We-h/kg and a specific power of about 290 We/kg. Turbidity fixtures within the reactor increase turbidity of fuel pellets within the reactor and improve the energy density of the system.
