摘要: A method produces an elastically deformable molded part having a number of undercut molded-part regions, by use of a mold. To provide a technique which makes it possible to produce individual molded parts which are elastically deformable and have undercut regions from soft materials in a precise and cost-effective manner, a method is performed in which a molded-part material is introduced into the mold. The mold has a shaping contour with a number of special contour regions, which are configured for shaping the number of undercut molded-part regions of the molded part, and in which the molded part is removed from the mold by at least partially deforming the mold together with the molded part therein in such a way that the molded part elastically deforms and the mold at least partially, but in any event to the extent of the special contour regions, breaks up.

摘要: Provided is a curable composition which has excellent curability, less causes silicone molds to swell, and allows the silicone molds to have better durability and a longer service life in repeated use. The curable composition according to the present invention is a curable composition for production of an optical component by molding using silicone molds. The curable composition contains curable compounds and a cationic initiator. The curable compounds include (A) a cycloaliphatic epoxy compound and (B) an oxetane compound. The oxetane compound (B) is present in a content of 10 to 45 weight percent of the totality of all the curable compounds contained in the curable composition. Of the totality of all the curable compounds contained in the curable composition, 90 weight percent or more is a compound or compounds having a solubility parameter of 9.0 (cal/cm3)½ or more as determined at 25° C. by the Fedors' method.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of preparing a flexible deformable photonic crystal material for structural health monitoring, comprising the following steps: washing a grating master template; preparing and assembling a mold; obtaining an assembled mold by printing a three-dimensional mold comprising an upper die and a lower die by use of a 3D printing device and installing the grating master template on the three-dimensional mold; obtaining a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) one-dimensional photonic crystal film by replicating a one-dimensional grating structure of a surface of the grating master template by pouring PDMS into the assembled mold; finally, obtaining the PDMS one-dimensional photonic crystal film with a one-dimensional photonic crystal structure on a middle surface and protrusion structures at both ends by demolding, wherein the PDMS one-dimensional photonic crystal film is the flexible deformable photonic crystal material. A mechanochromic photonic crystal film is prepared by using a master template with a photonic crystal structure, a process is simple and easy to operate, a preparation period of a mechanochromic material is greatly shortened, and a preparation cost is reduced.

摘要: A system and method is provided for creating a structure including a vasculature network. A film deposition device is configured to dispense droplets onto a surface of a substrate to form a curable fugitive pre-patterned liquid film on the surface of the substrate. An electrohydrodynamic film patterning (EHD-FP) device has a patterned electrode structure formed to generate an electric field and to subject the film on the surface of the substrate to the electric field. The film thereby being formed by the EHD-FP into patterned features in response to being subjected to the electric field. Then a casting system is configured to cover the patterned features in an epoxy to form patterned structures, wherein the patterned structures comprise a fugitive vasculature structure.

摘要: According to some aspects, a method is provided of casting an object from a mold, the method comprising obtaining a mold comprising a hollow shell of rigid material, the material comprising a thermoset polymer having a plurality of pores formed therein, providing a metal and/or ceramic slurry into an interior of the mold, exposing at least part of the mold to a low pressure environment so that a net flow of gas is produced from the interior of the mold into the low pressure environment. According to some aspects, a method of forming a porous mold is provided. According to some aspects, a photocurable liquid composition is provided, comprising a liquid photopolymer resin, particles of a solid material, in an amount between 30% and 60% by volume of the composition, and a water-soluble liquid.
