摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relates to an acoustic metamaterial, as well as to a method for manufacturing the same. The acoustic metamaterial includes a plurality of channels or columns each having the same cross-section with a hydraulic radius between 5 and 300 μm, which channels or columns are arranged with a periodic spacing between 2 and 600 μm. This results in a highly dense network that can provide optimal acoustic absorption and/or impedance over a wide frequency range. The method for manufacturing the same includes additive manufacturing with a plurality of consecutive material deposition steps to form, in each step, a layer comprising a plurality of periodically repeated cells separated by walls. The layers deposited in the consecutive material deposition steps are stacked with their respective cells aligned to form channels.

摘要: The present invention provides a manufacturing device and a manufacturing method for molds. The manufacturing device includes a molding assembly including a mold table and a male mold. The mold table has an upper surface defining a depression thereon, and the male mold is configured to be disposed on a bottom surface of the depression. A height of the male mold is smaller than a depth of the depression. This manufacturing device can utilize a transfer molding method to manufacture molds in batches with higher mold production efficiency.

摘要: According to some aspects, a method is provided of casting an object from a mold, the method comprising obtaining a mold comprising a hollow shell of rigid material, the material comprising a thermoset polymer having a plurality of pores formed therein, providing a metal and/or ceramic slurry into an interior of the mold, exposing at least part of the mold to a low pressure environment so that a net flow of gas is produced from the interior of the mold into the low pressure environment. According to some aspects, a method of forming a porous mold is provided. According to some aspects, a photocurable liquid composition is provided, comprising a liquid photopolymer resin, particles of a solid material, in an amount between 30% and 60% by volume of the composition, and a water-soluble liquid.

摘要: Systems and methods for casting solid propellants include a mandrel for forming geometric features in a perforation of a propellant grain. In various embodiments, the mandrel includes a frangible portion that is removed from the propellant grain after the propellant grain has cured around the mandrel. A second portion of the mandrel may be left behind in the propellant grain. The mandrel may include a support structured disposed in the through hole of the mandrel. The support structure may include a plurality of longitudinal channels for directed exhaust gasses through the mandrel upon ignition of the propellant grain.

The disassembling module includes a molded-lens holder mechanism having at least two clamping members to clamp the molded-lens of the lens mold assembly. The machine includes an alignment guidance module to detect relative positions between the molded lens of the lens mold assembly and the molded-lens holder mechanism to align the molded lens for clamping by the molded-lens holder mechanism. The mold engagement mechanism is configured to hold the first and second mold parts individually and to separate the first and second mold parts from the molded lens.

摘要: Nanocomposite compositions and methods for preparing nanocomposite compositions films are provided. The nanocomposite compositions include dendritic fibrous nanoparticles that have a diameter ranging from 50 to 500 nm, and a polymer matrix comprising poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), where the dendritic fibrous nanoparticles have a hydrophobic coating and are dispersed within the PMMA matrix. Methods of preparing nanocomposite compositions may include introducing dendritic fibrous nanoparticles into a mixture with a poly(methyl methacrylate) and an organic solvent to form a composite solution. Methods further include casting the mixture onto a glass sheet within a mold, evaporating the organic solvent to form the nanocomposite film, and separating the nanocomposite film from the glass sheet.

摘要: A mold for encapsulating an electrical component. The mold includes an encapsulation chamber and an air inlet. The encapsulation chamber is defined by a housing, an open top, and a solid bottom. The housing includes a solid outer wall, a permeable inner wall, and an air chamber between the solid outer wall and the inner wall. The air inlet is configured to introduce a gas into the air chamber. The encapsulation chamber is sized and shaped to receive the electrical component while leaving a gap for the introduction of encapsulant around the electrical component. The encapsulant may be silicone rubber. To remove an encapsulated electrical component, pressurized air may be introduced through the air inlet into the air chamber, passing through the permeable inner wall, separating the outer surface of the encapsulant from the housing, and allowing the combination casting to be removed from the mold.

摘要: A method produces an elastically deformable molded part having a number of undercut molded-part regions, by use of a mold. To provide a technique which makes it possible to produce individual molded parts which are elastically deformable and have undercut regions from soft materials in a precise and cost-effective manner, a method is performed in which a molded-part material is introduced into the mold. The mold has a shaping contour with a number of special contour regions, which are configured for shaping the number of undercut molded-part regions of the molded part, and in which the molded part is removed from the mold by at least partially deforming the mold together with the molded part therein in such a way that the molded part elastically deforms and the mold at least partially, but in any event to the extent of the special contour regions, breaks up.
