    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a splitable introducer sheath assembly and the method of manufacturing the same. The splitable introducer sheath assembly includes a sheath tube, a hub portion, and at least two anchors. The sheath tube includes anchor tabs separately extending from the proximal sheath end. In one embodiment. The anchors secure the respective anchor tabs within the respective first and second hub halves. Alternatively, the hub halves may include a base having a first mating surface and a cap having a second mating surface; the anchor tabs extends within the corresponding one of the base with a proximal end of the anchor tab extending beyond the first mating surface; and the first mating surface of the cap is secured to the second mating surface of the base with the proximal end of the corresponding anchor tab secured therebetween.

    摘要: A railroad crosstie (tie) may be fabricated from a composite material including a fiber reinforced polymer shell manufactured by pultrusion or other process, and filled by a suitable material, typically selected from expanded elastomeric polymer (such as polyurethane resin or other polymer), concrete, lightweight concrete formed by conventional aggregate, sand, cement, water, and an ultra light filler such as natural materials, sawdust, beads of expanded polymer such as expanded polystyrene, microspheres of glass or plastic, a recycled wooden tie in conjunction with any of the above, or the like. Fasteners may be driven such as spikes, threaded, such as screws, lag screws, spreading screws, rivets, or the like into apertures, pilot holes, or directly into fill absent apertures therein.

    摘要: Tubing systems are described herein. A tubing system can include a tubing assembly, a tubing system component, and a coupling portion. The tubing assembly includes a tubing and a tubing assembly connector coupled to the tubing. The tubing assembly connector defines a connector lumen in fluid communication with the tubing lumen. The tubing assembly connector has a tubing assembly connector elastic modulus greater than the tubing elastic modulus. The tubing system component has a component connector abutted against the tubing assembly connector. The component connector has a component connector elastic modulus greater than the tubing elastic modulus. The coupling portion is overmolded over the tubing assembly connector and the component connector to couple the tubing to the tubing system component.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a cured composite structure includes inserting a plurality of radius filler segments into a radius cavity extending along a length of an uncured composite base member to form an uncured structural assembly. The plurality of radius filler segments are placed in end-to-end arrangement within the radius cavity and each having opposing segment ends and being formed of a thermoplastic material. The method additionally includes heating the structural assembly at least to a base member cure temperature that causes the segment ends of end-to-end pairs of the plurality of radius filler segments to fuse together and form a continuous radius filler element that extends along the length of the composite base member. The method also includes allowing the structural assembly to cure to form a cured composite structure.
