摘要: A process for making propene oxide involves reacting propene with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of methanol, a titanium zeolite epoxidation catalyst, and nitrogen containing compounds present in an amount of from 100 to 3000 mg/kg of hydrogen peroxide. Non-reacted propene is separated from the reaction mixture; the propene depleted reaction mixture Is continuously distilled in a distillation column providing an overhead product stream containing propene oxide and methanol and a bottoms product stream; and propene oxide is separated from the overhead product stream. An acid is added to the propane depleted reaction mixture and/or to the distillation column at the same level or above the feed point for the propene depleted reaction mixture and/or contacted to the feed to the distillation column to provide an apparent pH in the bottoms product stream of from 3 to 4.5, which reduces the nitrogen content of the separated propene oxide.

The gas distribution plate has an advantage of uniform gas distribution.

摘要: A process for preparing a silver-containing catalyst for the selective oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide including the steps of: (a) providing a multimodal support, (b) preparing an impregnation solution comprising a silver component, (c) impregnating, at least once, the multimodal support of step (a) with the silver-containing impregnation solution of step (b) to form an impregnated support; (d) subjecting the impregnated multimodal support from step (c) to a removal means, such as a centrifuge, at least once, for a time sufficient to remove impregnated silver impregnation solution from the multimodal support and to control the amount of silver in the pores of the multimodal support by selectively removing impregnated silver impregnation solution from a set of larger pores in the multimodal support; (e) roasting, at least once, the multimodal support after the step (d); (f) optionally, repeating the impregnation step (c), (g) optionally, repeating the centrifugation step (d), and (h) optionally, repeating the calcination step (e).

摘要: A method of using biopolymer to synthesize titanium-containing silicon oxide material and applications thereof are disclosed. The method comprises steps: mixing a titanium source, a silicon source, an acid source, a base source, a biopolymer and a solvent to form an aqueous solution, and letting the aqueous solution react to form a semi-product; performing aging, solid-liquid separation and drying of the semi-product to obtain a dried solid; and performing calcination or extraction of the dried solid to obtain a titanium-containing silicon oxide material with a high specific surface area. The present invention adopts a biopolymer as the templating agent, which makes the fabrication process of titanium-containing silicon oxide material more environment-friendly. After calcination or extraction, the product still has superior catalytic activity, able to catalyze epoxidation of olefins and favorable for the production of epoxide.

摘要: Propene is continuously reacted with hydrogen peroxide in a tube bundle reactor comprising a multitude of parallel reaction tubes in the presence of a titanium silicalite catalyst arranged as a fixed bed in the reaction tubes. A cooling jacket encloses the reaction tubes, which has a feed point for cooling medium near the entry of the reaction tubes, a withdrawal point for cooling medium near the end of the reaction tubes and at least one additional withdrawal point upstream of the withdrawal point near the end of the reaction tubes. Cooling medium is fed to the feed point for cooling medium, a part of the cooling medium is withdrawn at the at least one additional withdrawal point and the remainder exits at the withdrawal point near the end of the reaction tubes.
