Abstract: A method comprises coprecipitating one or more precursor compounds from a solution comprising one or more first metal salts and one or more second salts to produce precipitated precursor particles, forming a slurry of the precipitated precursor particles, applying the slurry to one or more surfaces of a conductive substrate to provide a slurry coated substrate, and baking the slurry coated substrate at specified calcination conductions to convert the one or more precursor compounds of the precipitated precursor particles to spinel particles that are adhered to the one or more surfaces of the conductive substrate, wherein the spinel particles comprise a spinel with the general chemical formula AB2O4.

Abstract: A method of generating oxygen including applying a potential of greater than 0 to 2.0 V to an electrochemical cell that is at least partially submerged in an aqueous solution such that on applying the potential the aqueous solution is oxidized thereby forming oxygen. The electrochemical cell includes an electrocatalyst and a counter electrode. The electrocatalyst includes a nickel foam substrate and a layer of particles of manganese oxide having a formula of MnxOy on a surface of the nickel foam substrate, where x is an integer from 1 to 7, and where y is an integer from 1 to 13. The particles of MnO have a spherical shape with an average diameter of 5-15 nanometers (nm) and are aggregated with an average aggregate size of 500-1,000 nm in the shape of a cauliflower.

Abstract: A neutralization cell is provided which may be used to increase a pH level of a chlorine solution. The neutralization cell includes a neutralization anode, a neutralization cathode, an inlet, and an outlet. The neutralization anode and the neutralization cathode are positioned to divide the neutralization cell into a middle area between the neutralization anode and the neutralization cathode, an anode area on a side of the neutralization anode furthest from the neutralization cathode, and a cathode area on a side of the neutralization cathode furthest from the neutralization anode. The inlet directs the chlorine solution into the neutralization cell by directing an incoming flow of the chlorine solution into the anode area. The outlet directs the chlorine solution out of the neutralization cell by directing an outgoing flow of the chlorine solution from the cathode area.

Abstract: A modification method of an anode for hydrogen production via electrolysis, the anode for hydrogen production via electrolysis and use thereof are provided.
