摘要: The present invention provides a gold-copper alloy nanostructure which can be used as a catalyst for electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction and a method for synthesizing the same. The provided gold-copper alloy nanostructure has a heterophase composed of a hexagonal close-packed phase and a face-centered cubic phase. This gold-copper nanostructure shows an atomic ratio of 99 to 1 for gold to copper. The present invention adopts delicately structural modulation of nanomaterials based on the phase engineering of nanomaterials strategy and offers a promising way for the design and preparation of novel catalysts, especially those with unconventional phase, for enhancing their performances in various catalytic applications.

摘要: A method for separating elemental phosphorus from iron oxide-containing and phosphate-containing materials includes at least the following steps: providing at least one iron oxide-containing and phosphate-containing material, adding at least one aluminum carrier to the at least one iron oxide-containing and phosphate-containing material and melting the at least one aluminum carrier together with the at least one iron oxide-containing and phosphate-containing material to form an aluminum-containing and optionally aluminum oxide-containing phosphate slag melt, reacting the aluminum-containing and optionally aluminum oxide-containing phosphate slag melt to elemental, gaseous phosphorus, iron and Al2O3-containing slag in a melting vessel, withdrawing the elemental, gaseous phosphorus and tapping off the iron and the Al2O3-containing slag.

摘要: In this disclosure, a process of recycling acid, base and the salt reagents required in the Li recovery process is introduced. A membrane electrolysis cell which incorporates an oxygen depolarized cathode is implemented to generate the required chemicals onsite. The system can utilize a portion of the salar brine or other lithium-containing brine or solid waste to generate hydrochloric or sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide and carbonate salts. Simultaneous generation of acid and base allows for taking advantage of both chemicals during the conventional Li recovery from brines and mineral rocks. The desalinated water can also be used for the washing steps on the recovery process or returned into the evaporation ponds. The method also can be used for the direct conversion of lithium salts to the high value LiOH product. The method does not produce any solid effluent which makes it easy-to-adopt for use in existing industrial Li recovery plants.

摘要: The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus for producing a carbon nanomaterial product (CNM) product that may comprise carbon nanotubes and various other allotropes of nanocarbon. The method and apparatus employ a consumable carbon dioxide (CO2) and a renewable carbonate electrolyte as reactants in an electrolysis reaction in order to make CNTs. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, operational conditions of the electrolysis reaction may be varied in order to produce the CNM product with a greater incidence of a desired allotrope of nanocarbon or a desired combination of two or more allotropes.

摘要: A general and well-controlled method for synthesizing intermetallic nanoparticles is provided. The method comprises: preparing noble-metal nanoparticle seeds; dispersing a metal precursor into the noble-metal nanoparticle seeds to form a first solution; adding the first solution into an organic solvent to form a first mixture; sonicating the first mixture at room temperature; subjecting the first mixture to a heat treatment under N2 atmosphere to render a second solution; cooling the second solution naturally to room temperature; adding ethanol to the second solution to form a third solution; and collecting the intermetallic nanoparticle from the third solution by centrifugation. The as-synthesized hollow orthorhombic Pd2Sn alloy nanoparticles can accelerate the cleavage of C—C bond when compared with commercial Pd/C and display superior catalytic performance towards glycerol oxidation reaction and potential for promising applications.

A pulsed DC voltage is applied to the plasma torch and X-plate, while a lower voltage pulsed DC is applied to the input and output electrode plate pair to cause generation of hydrogen gas from water in which the cell is immersed.
