摘要: According to the present invention, a carbon fiber composite material, which has excellent energy absorption and is composed of a carbon fiber having high strength and high elongation, is provided by a production method yielding an excellent production amount. This carbon fiber bundle having a plurality of single fibers has a strand elastic modulus of 260-350 GPa, a strength of 6.5-8.5 GPa, an elongation of at least 1.8%, a filament number of 1,000-9,000, and a total fineness of 0.15-0.35 g/m, wherein the average value of major axis/minor axis ratios in single fiber cross sections is 1.01-1.08, the coefficient of variation is 1-4%, and the skewness is 0.3-1.2.

摘要: A carbon material can comprise a porous scaffold of carbon fibrils and particles of carbon black attached to the carbon fibrils. The carbon material can be provided in an atmosphere of a gas comprising one or more organic compounds, for example, methane. The carbon material and the gas can be subjected to a temperature (e.g., 1700 K) that causes the organic compound(s) to undergo pyrolysis to form carbon and hydrogen. For example, the carbon material can be used as a Joule heating element to heat the material and the gas to the pyrolysis temperature. At least some of the formed carbon can be deposited on or within the carbon material. As a result, the carbon fibrils in the material can merge to form a carbonized matrix, and the carbon black particles can become embedded within the carbonized matrix.

摘要: A quad-polymer composition includes monomers of (a) acrylonitrile, (a) vinylimidazole, (c) methyl acrylate and (d) either acrylic acid or itaconic acid. Such quad-polymer compositions may be used to form fibers (such as by melt spinning) that may then be annealed, stabilized, and/or carbonized to produce carbon fibers. The quad-polymer composition may be used for supercapacitors, lithium battery electrodes once carbonized, and as synthesized, it may be used for wound healing fibers, fabrics, coatings, and films, and anti-bacterial/anti-microbial fibers, fabrics, coatings and films. The carbon fibers formed from the quad-polymer composition may be used for the fiber composites for automobile, aerospace structures, marine structures, military equipment/parts, sporting goods, robotics, furniture, and electronic parts.

摘要: Provided are carbon fiber bundles which have high knot strength even if the single fiber fineness is large, and which have excellent handling properties and processability. The carbon fiber bundles have a single fiber fineness of 0.8-2.5 dtex, knot strength of 298 N/mm2 or greater. This method of producing carbon fibers having knot strength of 298 N/mm2 or greater involves a heat treatment step for heat treating, for 50-150 minutes, specific polyacrylonitrile-based precursor fiber bundles described in the description in an oxidizing atmosphere rising in temperature in the temperature range of 220-300° C.

摘要: A first aspect of the present invention is carbon fiber wherein the surface of a monofilament has a center line average roughness Ra of 6.0 nm or more and 13 nm or less, and the monofilament has a long diameter/short diameter ratio of 1.11 or more and 1.245 or less. A second aspect of the present invention is carbon fiber precursor acrylic fiber wherein the surface of a monofilament has a center line average roughness Ra of 18 nm or more and 27 nm or less, and the monofilament has a long diameter/short diameter ratio of 1.11 or more and 1.245 or less. The carbon fiber according to the first aspect is obtained by stabilizing and carbonizing under specific conditions the carbon fiber precursor acrylic fiber according to the second aspect.

The method modifies proportion of a finishing oil to control a relation between a surface tension and a particle size of the finishing oil, and thus penetration of the finishing oil into an interior of the carbon fiber is avoided. Therefore, the carbon fiber can have both low oil residues and a high strength.

A manufacturing method of a carbon fiber bundle may include applying a sizing agent to the carbonized fiber bundle, drying the carbonized fiber bundle, then passing the carbonized fiber bundle such that one surface of the carbonized fiber bundle in the width direction and one opposite surface thereof are alternately brought into contact with two or more parallel rods, and winding the carbonized fiber bundle on a bobbin.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for producing a multifilament yarn from a melt of a copolymer of polyacrylicnitrile. 摘要: Hybrid carbon nanofiber (Cnf) products (e.g., mats, yarns, webs, etc.) and methods of fabricating the same are provided. The hybrid Cnf products are flexible and lightweight and have high thermal conductivity. An electrospinning process can be used to fabricate the hybrid Cnf products and can include preparation of an electrospinning solution, electrospinning, and carbonization (e.g., under a vacuum condition).
