摘要： A method for automatically piecing a thread at a workstation of a textile machine, includes seeking an end of the thread on a surface of a bobbin with a suction nozzle and unwinding the thread from the bobbin counter to a regular draw-off direction of the thread and sucking the thread into the suction nozzle. The bobbin is driven in a direction of reverse rotation with a drive. A thread loop is draw-opened in the thread and moved towards a piecing unit via movement of a feeder unit. The bobbin is driven in the direction of reverse rotation during the drawing-open of the thread loop such that the thread is unwound from the bobbin. A speed of reverse rotation of the bobbin is coordinated with movement of the feeder unit.

摘要： A method monitors and measures the uniformity of tows with mechanical sensing elements in the course of production on a tow line. The tension of the running tow is measured upstream of a transport roll arrangement and is utilized as a measure of the uniformity of the tow. Irregularities in the tow result in tow tension determination outside a predetermined tension range, and when the determined tension measurement is outside that range the irregular tow portions are remove. Also, the frequency of tow tension determination outside a predetermined range may be used as an indication of tow quality and for removing substandard tows.

摘要： Calibration of a thread tensioning force meter on a texturing unit for a false twist machine was previously performed differently depending upon the direction of withdrawal, that is forwardly or rearwardly, of the thread from the texturing unit. The thread passes the tensioning force meter by passing over a spring biased support abutment connected with a meter. In the invention, the outlet past the tensioning force meter includes a withdrawal point and slightly upstream of that point a calibration point, which points are separated by a thread eye through which the thread passes. The location of the calibration point is selected with respect to the withdrawal point and with respect to the position of the abutment engaged by the thread that regardless of whether the thread is withdrawn forwardly or rearwardly of the meter, the thread continuously contacts the calibration point. In one direction of withdrawal, the thread only contacts the calibration point. In the opposite direction of withdrawal, the thread first contacts the calibration point and then contacts the thread guide outlet, which holds a thread passing through the thread eye against the calibration point.

摘要： To control the yarn quality of a yarn produced by a textile machine, particularly a false-twist jet spinning apparatus, there is provided at the end of the spinning operation, however, upstream of the pair of withdrawal rolls for the outfeed of the produced yarn, a yarn tension measuring device. Upon falling outside of a predeterminate yarn tension tolerance or tension range the yarn tension measuring device controls operation of the false-twist jet spinning apparatus such that, as required, there is accomplished an appropriate increase or decrease of the yarn tension of the yarn produced by the false-twist jet spinning apparatus. Alteration of the yarn tension can be achieved, for instance, by varying the blowing intensity or energy of the air utilized for the spinning operation as well as by varying the angle at which there is blown in the air used for the spinning operation or by varying the rotational speed of the delivery rolls which deliver the formed yarn or by selected combinations of these measures.
