摘要: A method of texturing a wall or ceiling with non-acoustical joint compound by providing a collapsible bag having an opening at its top and is adapted to contain non-acoustical joint compound for forming a textured coating on the wall or ceiling and providing a spray nozzle having a low pressure input port, a joint compound suction port attached to the opening at the top of the collapsible bag, and an output port for spraying the non-acoustical joint compound. A low pressure stream of air from an air gun attached to the low pressure input port urges a small quantity of the non-acoustical joint compound to be sprayed out of the spray nozzle when the bottom of the collapsible disposable bag is raised above its top to either allow or force the joint compound to flow into the suction port and into the interior of the spray nozzle.

摘要: A system for finishing surfaces with a finishing material includes a handle assembly with proximal and distal ends. A material reservoir is mounted on the handle distal and includes an inlet and an outlet. A material applicator tool is mounted on the reservoir and receives material from the reservoir outlet. A discharge mechanism includes an extendable-retractable component or linear actuator connected to the reservoir for discharging or reloading material. An alternative embodiment includes a lockable, compressible gas spring. Another alternative embodiment includes a rotating element driven by a reversible motor mounted on the handle assembly. The rotating element drives a discharge mechanism in a discharge direction of rotation, and reloads the reservoir in a reload direction of rotation. Multiple alternative embodiments of linear actuators are disclosed. An alternative embodiment includes a push-to-open valve mechanism.

摘要: A machine for distributing loosefill insulation from a package of compressed loosefill insulation material is provided. The machine includes a chute having an inlet end and an outlet end. The inlet end receives the loosefill insulation material. A shredding chamber is configured to receive the loosefill insulation material from the outlet end. The shredding chamber includes a plurality of shredders configured to shred, pick apart and condition the loosefill insulation material. A discharge mechanism is mounted to receive the conditioned material. The discharge mechanism is configured to distribute the conditioned material into an airstream. A blower is configured to provide the airstream flowing through the discharge mechanism. The blower has a rotational speed that defines the volume and the velocity of the airstream. A remote control assembly is configured to communicate with the machine such that the volume and velocity of the airstream can be adjusted in a remote location.

摘要: A handheld sprayer comprises a housing, a turbine, a spray tip, a hopper and a trigger. An air flow passage extends through the housing. The turbine is configured to generate an airflow within the air flow passage. The spray tip is positioned to receive airflow from the air flow passage. The hopper is connected to the housing and is configured to discharge a fluid into the air flow passage. The trigger is mounted to the housing to control discharge of the hopper into the flow passage and airflow form the turbine. In different embodiments, the trigger controls airflow from the turbine to the spray tip or the hopper or both. Additionally, a method for spraying a fluid from a handheld sprayer comprises controlling airflow from a turbine and discharge from a hopper into a passage using a combined actuator.
