摘要: The present application includes a void form unit for creating a void space between concrete structures and expansive soil. The unit includes a cellular structure surrounded by a paper based shell. The cellular structure is impervious to moisture. Together the cellular structure and the shell make a singular rigid member. The rigid member is configured to temporarily support concrete and gradually increase in flexure so as to flex with the movement of the expansive soil. The shell is configured to weaken over time from the regulated absorption of moisture. The flexure of the cellular structure configured to increase with the deterioration of the shell.

摘要: A corner form panel used in an insulating concrete form system includes a hinged corner web member at least partially embedded in each of two segments of the form panel. The hinged corner web member enables the two segments to rotate with respect to each other, so that the form panel can be opened to a flat configuration for shipping, and folded into a corner configuration at the jobsite. Both inside and outside corner panels may be provided, and may use different hinged corner web members. The corner web member may include features for connecting the inside and outside corner panels, to reinforce the resulting form unit.

摘要: A concrete side form system suitable for factory casting or site casting concrete. The side form includes a substantially rigid longitudinally extending wall. The wall has a first face to define the edge profile of a concrete panel poured onto a casting bed bounded by the wall and a second face opposite the first face having formation to enable the wall to be secured to the casting bed. The wall includes a longitudinally extending frame having formation along at least one of its edges to removably receive a removable longitudinal insert to provide a shape along an edge of the concrete panel. The removable inserts provide the system with the ability to simply, easily and cost effectively change the edge profile of concrete poured against the side form.

摘要: The current invention discloses moisture resistant column forms constructed from corrugated plastic. The forms disclosed herein are lightweight and can be easily assembled at a construction site or remote location. The forms can be positioned over pre-placed sections of reinforcing bars, or sections of reinforcing bars can be placed into a form once it is in position. The forms disclosed in the current invention can be easily removed, but they do not attract insects and therefore do not have to be removed from columns after the concrete has dried. The forms disclosed herein have generally square perimeters when they are assembled and put in place, but after concrete is poured into the form, the side walls will undergo uniform deformation/displacement due to the hydrostatic pressure of the concrete and the resulting column will have a generally circular perimeter. A method of using the forms is also disclosed.
