摘要： An apparatus includes a ladder assembly configured to be used with a vertically-extending wall assembly of a building having a window assembly installed to the vertically-extending wall assembly. The ladder assembly includes a housing assembly configured to be fixedly received (at least in part) in the vertically-extending wall assembly, to be mounted to the vertically-extending wall assembly, and to extend (at least in part) into the vertically-extending wall assembly of the building. A support assembly is configured to be fixedly attached to the housing assembly, and to extend (at least in part) into the housing assembly in such a way that the support assembly bisects the housing assembly. The support assembly, in use, provides any one of a handhold and a foothold configured for usage by a user.

The bathroom vanity includes a cabinet body portion including a top wall and a plurality of sidewalls, and defining a bottom recess with an open bottom; and a retractable step slidingly coupled to the cabinet body portion and being displaceable between a stowed position where the retractable step is disposed within the bottom recess of the cabinet body portion and an extended position where the retractable step extends outwardly from a front of the cabinet body portion so as to provide a step for a user of the bathroom vanity, the retractable step being configured to slide along a floor on which the bathroom vanity is disposed when the retractable step is displaced, and at least a portion of the retractable step being configured to contact the floor when the retractable step is displaced.

摘要： A rotating retractable step system positioned within a cutout of a wall is presented. The rotating retractable step system comprises a foot pedal and a support shaft. The foot pedal is configured to be stowed in a vertical orientation within the cutout of the wall, and to rotate between the vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation. The support shaft is associated with the foot pedal, such that movement of the support shaft extends the foot pedal outwardly away from the cutout, or retracts the foot pedal towards the cutout.

摘要： According to principles of the present inventive concepts, a ladder safety device can include one or more stabilizing legs configured to be removably or permanently attached to a ladder. In a preferred embodiment, an attachment mechanism of the ladder safety device removably attaches to the ladder through rung holes already present in the ladder. The stabilizing legs are preferably secured in the attachment mechanism such that they can be securely oriented at a desired angle extending away from the ladder legs and can be independently extended to have a desired length.

In a preferred embodiment, the tubes, gussets, flanges, and/or joints are made of carbon fiber. A method connects and disconnects modular carbon fiber ladder segments. Another method creates a lightweight carbon-fiber beam with exceptionally high stiffness and strength using a combination of carbon-fiber braid material, uni-directional cloth, and pultruded carbon-fiber strips. A carbon fiber ladder segment and tube connectors are also disclosed.

摘要： A portable, collapsible, free-standing device for use by a rider to access the saddle stirrup when mounting a horse. The device has a center support pole with a handle on one end and a base on the other. Two folding steps are each pivotally mounted to spaced-apart brackets attached to the pole, to assist the rider to reach the stirrup. Several folding legs are mounted to a collar attached to the center pole in order to stabilize the device. The legs can be configured with extensions so that the device can be leveled on uneven terrain. Pivoting foot pads can be attached onto the ends of the legs. A rope is attached to the handle so that the device can be pulled up after the rider has mounted the horse, whereupon the device can be folded and collapsed for storage on the horse.

摘要： The folding step ladder has lower and upper treads and lower and upper risers which are pivotal relative to the treads. The ladder also has front and back side panels on each side of the treads. The side panels on each side are pivotal relative to each other. The lower riser is pivotal relative to the lower tread and to both of the front side panels. A rear panel is pivotal relative to both of the back side panels and the upper tread. When the step ladder is closed or folded and one of its components is lifted, gravity causes the step ladder to open or to unfold. When another of its components is lifted while the step ladder is open or unfolded, gravity causes the step ladder to close or to fold. Handles are provided on the two components to facilitate lifting of them.
