    摘要: An adjustment limiting device for a carburetor including a fuel adjustment valve rotatable to adjust a supply of fuel in or delivered from the carburetor includes an adjustment limiting cap and a connector. The adjustment limiting cap is adapted to be disposed over a portion of the fuel adjustment valve and includes a rotary connection feature adapted to limit relative rotational movement between the adjustment limiting cap and the fuel adjustment valve, and a rotation limiter to limit rotational movement of the adjustment limiting cap. The connector may be carried by the adjustment limiting cap to maintain the adjustment limiting cap on the fuel adjustment valve. The connector may be concealed by the carburetor body, permit the adjustment limiting cap to be fitted onto the fuel adjustment valve, and prevent the adjustment limiting cap from being removed from the fuel adjustment limiting valve.

A cooling liquid is circulated in a closed-loop circuit including the heat exchanger and a liquid reservoir having a large volume as compared with that of the balance of the circuit.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an improvement in a variable venturi carburetor for an internal combustion engine which comprises a venturi portion, a float chamber, a main fuel passage communicating with the venturi portion and with the float chamber, a main fuel jet provided in the main fuel passage and a movable metering needle. A free end of the metering needle is adapted to control the size of the main fuel jet and the base portion of the metering needle is mounted to a suction piston adapted to transversely move with respect to the venturi portion in response to the condition of load on the internal combustion engine. The improvement includes provision of a bypass detouring upwardly from a portion of the main fuel passage upstream of the main fuel jet for discharging vapor of fuel, and the bypass communicates with a negative pressure passage which has an opening in the lower portion of the venturi portion and with an air passage which has an opening in the vicinity of an air horn inlet.

The engine includes plural cylinders positioned laterally with respect to the body, plural fuel injection nozzles, a fuel pump, and a delivery pipe for delivering fuel supplied from the fuel pump to the plural nozzles, wherein the plural nozzles are disposed laterally in the direction of the plural cylinders and the delivery pipe is disposed laterally in the direction of the plural nozzles. The engine further includes a fuel pressure regulator coupled to one end portion of the pipe, the one end portion being on the opposite side of the side of the vehicle body having the side stand.

    摘要: A thermostatic valve for compensating for the change in the intake air temperature of an internal combustion engine. The thermostatic valve has a temperature detector attached to a housing provided with a port in communication with atmosphere, a pipe in communication with a vacuum motor, a pipe in communication with the portion of the intake passage downstream from the throttle valve of carburetor and a pipe in communication with the float chamber of the carburetor and also with the air cleaner of the engine. A first valve element adapted to be operated by the temperature detector, and a second valve element adapted to be operated by the first valve element are disposed in the housing and are pressed against respective valve seats formed in the housing by means of springs. The introduction of vacuum in the intake passage into the vacuum motor for adjusting the intake air temperature is controlled in response to the change in the intake air temperature. At the same time, the shortage of intake air attributable to a rise of the intake air temperature is compensated by an additional supply of air which is made directly to the portion of the intake passage downstream from the throttle valve, upon detect of the rise of the intake air temperature.

    摘要: Methods and fuel systems to reduce evaporative emissions of a volatile fuel. A fuel tank contains fuel, a carburetor mixes air with the fuel from the fuel tank, and a plurality of fluid paths route fuel amongst and/or between the fuel tank and the carburetor. A valve actuation device stops flow of fuel in one or more of the plurality of fluid paths and the carburetor is adapted to be drained of fuel during engine shutdown to reduce or prevent evaporative emissions from the fuel system. The carburetor is preferably designed so as to minimize a volume of fuel contained therein.
