摘要: A system and method for evaluating an insurance applicant as part of an underwriting process to determine one or more appropriate terms of life or other insurance coverage, such as premiums. A processing element employing a neural network is trained to correlate aspects of appearance and/or voice with personal and/or health-related characteristic. A database of images and/or voice recordings of individuals with known personal and/or health-related characteristics is provided for this purpose. The processing element is then provided with an image and/or voice recording of the insurance applicant. The image may be an otherwise non-diagnostic image, such as an ordinary “selfie.” The trained processing element analyzes the image of the insurance applicant, with their permission or affirmative consent, to determine the personal and/or health-related characteristic for the insurance applicant, and then, based upon that analysis, facilitates the underwriting process and/or suggests the one or more appropriate terms of insurance coverage.

摘要: Provided is a vehicle headlight device including: a first light irradiator that irradiates light from a light source at a first magnification m1 in a form of a first radiation pattern in which a bright region and a dark region are alternately repeated; and a second light irradiator that irradiates light from a light source at a second magnification in a form of a second radiation pattern in which an entire region is a bright region. In the vehicle headlight device, directivity of the light radiated from the first light irradiator overlaps with directivity of the light radiated from the second light irradiator, and the first magnification m1 is smaller than the second magnification. Thus, it is possible to prevent or reduce failure to notice a pedestrian by a driver even under adverse conditions such as nighttime and rainy weather.

摘要: An adaptive-driving-beam (ADB) headlight including a white LED having an emission area; an optional single-crystal-phosphor (SCP) plate mounted over a portion of the emission area; and, optionally, at least one laser that emits a blue laser beam that impinges on the SCP plate such that the SCP plate wavelength converts at least some of the light of the blue laser beam and at least some of the light of the white LED to longer wavelengths than wavelengths of the light of the blue laser beam and the light of the white LED. Some embodiments further include a projection lens; a curved mirror to reflect and focus light from the SCP and/or white LED towards a digital-mirror device (DMD), configured to selectively reflect the received light toward the projection lens, in order to provide increased field of view (FOV) and headlight brightness.

摘要: A vehicular lighting device includes a scanning light source that includes a semiconductor light source and a motor, and scans a region in front of the lighting device, with light emitted from the semiconductor light source, in accordance with motion of the motor, and a lighting circuit that changes the light quantity of the semiconductor light source in synchronization with the motion of the motor, during a normal lighting period, so as to obtain a predetermined light distribution pattern. The lighting circuit starts the motion of the motor, in response to a lighting command for headlight flashing during a stop period of the motor, and continuously lights the semiconductor light source asynchronously with the motion of the motor, during a start-up period that precedes the normal lighting period.

摘要: A headlamp, and in particular a headlamp for a motor vehicle, comprising a digital micromirror device which reflects light hitting it so that it exits at least partially from the headlamp when the headlamp is operated. The headlamp also includes at least one first light source which emits light with a first luminance, and which hits the digital micromirror device at least partially when the headlamp is operated. The headlamp also includes at least one second light source emitting light when the headlamp is operated, and having a second luminance which is different from the first luminance. The light emitted from the at least one second light source hits, at least partially, the digital micromirror device. The areas of incidence of the light emitted by the light sources on the digital micromirror device overlap at least partially. On the digital micromirror device, the range of incidence of the light emitted by the at least one first light source differs from the range of incidence of the light emitted by the at least one second light source.
