The one or more projections are configured for insertion into one or more corresponding notches on a buffer tube. 摘要: A semi-automatic or automatic rifle comprising a barrel attached to and upper receiver and including a compressible bolt carrier extension system. The compressible bolt carrier extension system includes a bolt carrier, an extension spring, two pins, and a reciprocation bolt carrier extension piece. As a whole, the compressible bolt carrier extension system makes possible the use of elongated upper and lower receivers to be used for chambering long-action or other center fire cartridges for use with AR rifles such as the M-16, and M4 etc., eliminating the need for any buffer or buffer tubes other than those commercially available. A further advantage of the compressible bolt carrier extension system is the reduction of felt recoil as the system fully loads during the recoil stroke as it pushes against the buffer absorbing additional recoil energy. The system can be incorporated into firearms using a variety of cartridges.

摘要: A weapon system is provided. The weapon system includes a receiver and an operating group. The operating group includes a barrel extension at least partially housed within the receiver and arranged to axially translate relative to the receiver; an operating rod (op-rod) assembly arranged to axially translate within the barrel extension; and a bolt assembly arranged to axially translate within the barrel extension. The system further includes a gas accelerator coupled to the barrel and the op-rod assembly; a buffer assembly including a self-centering spring and a hydraulic piston assembly having a first end coupled to the receiver and a second end coupled to the barrel extension; and a feeder coupled to the receiver and configured to provide the round to the operating group.

摘要: To prevent inertial forces from inadvertently releasing the slide of a semi-automatic pistol into battery, a slide stop retention mechanism is mounted on the frame. A finger extends from the mechanism and pivots under the force of a biasing spring into engagement with the slide stop when the slide is in the open position. The finger supports the slide stop. A force applied to the slide stop, either manually or via a cam on the slide when the slide is pulled back and released, will move the finger out of its supporting position and allow the slide to move to battery.

摘要: A firearm including a barrel having a chamber and an integrally formed upper receiver having a passageway, an accessory rail extending the complete length of the upper receiver, and a guidance feature extending along the passageway. The firearm also includes an operating rod having an anti-bounce mechanism, a bolt that is rotated counter-clockwise to lock against the chamber, a bolt carrier having a safety extension disposed below the bolt that prevents a hammer from striking a firing pin until the bolt is locked against the chamber, a lower receiver, a recoil spring assembly, and a fire control group. The bolt includes a polymer spring that biases a sliding extractor against the base of a cartridge. The sliding extractor is disposed at an angle ranging from thirty degrees to fifteen degrees on the bolt face to provide a low ejection angle from the firearm.

摘要: An anti-recoil system for counteracting recoil in firearms and weapons using a gas actuated piston assembly is disclosed. A recoil piston is acted upon by gas pressure routed from the receiver/barrel. High pressure gas causes forward movement of the recoil piston thereby generating a force opposing the recoil generated upon firing. A shock absorbing bumper connected to the piston engages the weapon's rearwardly moving bolt assembly. The bolt assembly forces the recoil piston rearward and compresses the bumper and expanded gas in the recoil piston chamber thereby absorbing additional recoil forces. Upon reaching a rear most position a gas relief valve is opened allowing venting of the compressed gases at which point the bolt operating main spring propels the bolt assembly forward, stripping the top round out of the ammunition magazine, loading the next round, locking the bolt and freeing the firing pin to fire the next round. An electrical generation system designed to meet the current and future needs for individual combatants utilizes hereto fore wasted energies produced in the firing of a modern weapon. Specifically it is designed to convert the wasted energy contained in the ejected high pressure gasses and the subsequent recoil produced by the gasses accelerating a projectile to high velocities, and the energy contained in the rapidly moving bolt assembly. This energy is capable of being stored within the weapon, or in external, individual battery packs.
