    摘要: A thermal target board includes heating paint coated to one surface of a fabric in a rectangular shape and dried, and electrode wires installed parallel to two sides facing each other on the surface on which the heating paint is coated and each of which has an end extending outward from an edge of the fabric. The thermal target board is driven by direct current, and is capable of implementing a stable heat generation with low manufacturing costs by using a heating paint including a bar-shaped carbon conductor.

    摘要: An emitting structure for simulating an irradiance signature of a missile is provided. The emitting structure includes one or more radiation sources, each of which includes at least one ultraviolet radiation source and at least one infrared radiation source. The emitting structure also includes a spherical shell and a mechanism for positioning the radiation source(s) along a three dimensional boundary of the spherical shell. The emitting structure can locate and operate one of the radiation sources to simulate the irradiance signature of the missile.

The range may have at least one target support mechanism for supporting a target and an infrared (IR) light projector associated locally with the base for projecting an IR light locally onto the target to illuminate the target with substantially IR images. The night vision imaging equipment used is chosen to be compatible with the IR light projector chosen. The assembly detects projectile hits on illuminated targets from a projectile fired by a trainee marksman.

The thermal target surface comprises a number of current coils (10) arranged so as to conduct the current from a first area (14) of the target surface to a second area (15). Each current coil (10) comprises current conductors (11) disposed essentially in parallel with one another at a first distance from one another. The current conductors (11) are connected to one another at their ends so that they form said current coil from the first area to the second area.     摘要: This invention proposes to make use of an already developed set of hardware which dispenses and controls the performance of towed decoys capable of defeating radar guided weapons. Using this same hardware, a new and unique payload, payload control and dispensing mechanism is inserted into a decoy towbody. The payload consists of foils and/or foil packs of a pyrophoric material. This material creates an infrared (IR) signature behind the decoy that is more attractive than the infrared plume emitted by the aircraft engine. The fact that the IR decoy is towed insures that it will be kinematically correct by flying the same profile as the aircraft so as to remain within the field of view of the missile's seeker. Because the pyrophoric material can be metered (dispensed at varying and controllable rates) its radiant intensity can be matched with that of the engine of the towing aircraft. As the burn characteristics of the selected pyrophoric material match the burn profile of hydrocarbon based jet fuels, the towed IR decoy also emits a plume that spectrally matches that of its host aircraft's engine.
