摘要: A system for applying roadway markings to roadways, including at least one imager for acquiring image data of original roadway markings on an original roadway surface. A first vehicle marking controller receives and stores the image data in combination with acquired location data associated with the original roadway markings. One or more milling tools mill the original roadway surface and create a milled surface. The one or more milling tools are positioned behind the at least one imager relative to a direction of travel. A first vehicle marking module is responsive to the first vehicle marking controller for applying roadway markings based on the location data of the original roadway markings and the image data, the first vehicle marking module positioned behind the one or more milling tools relative to a direction of travel.

摘要: A safety drop cloth is provided having a first face, and a reverse second face; the second face substantially contacts with a subordinate surface in use; and the first face includes a body and periphery. The cloth is arranged with demarcation to distinguish the periphery from the body by light transmission characteristics where in various light levels, the cloth acts to demarcate an area for safety purposes.

摘要: The invention relates to removable temporary paint having a release agent including a non-ionic surfactant and having a pH of 3 to 6. The paint includes: 10 wt % to 50 wt % of a natural alkyd resin in an aqueous emulsion, the alkyd resin having a molar mass Mp of 3,000 g/mol to 100,000 g/mol, a polydispersity index lp of 1 to 20, an oil length of 20% to 40%, and an acid index of 10 to 35; at least one inorganic filler and/or pigment; and a sufficient amount of water. The paint can be used as eco-friendly road paint for temporary markings.

摘要: Retroreflective articles of the invention comprise a continuous base layer and a multi-color polymeric top layer. The invention also includes methods of making such retroreflective articles. The retroreflective articles of the invention provide excellent daytime contrast while maintaining nighttime retroreflectivity. Variously colored segments of polymer are directly and either sequentially or simultaneously coated onto a continuous backing to form a multi-colored top layer. Durability over existing multi-colored retroreflective articles is enhanced by use of a continuous base layer.

摘要: The invention relates to pelletizing thermoplastic road marking substance containing light-reflective agents, such as glass beads. A dry formulation of the ingredients is transported to a heating station, where the dry mix is heated to a molten state. The melted mix is extruded into form pockets of a moving conveyor. As the conveyor moves through a cooling station, the molten substance in the form pockets solidifies forming individual pellets. The pellets are then removed from the form pockets, packaged and shipped to customers.

摘要: A system and corresponding method is provided for conveying driving-related information to vehicle drivers on a track or road course. The system includes evaluating a track or road course and determining recommended driving actions for various segments of the track or road course which may be suitable for drivers of different skill levels, including a relatively inexperienced driver. The recommendations can include speed-related information such a target speed, maximum speed, or a speed range. Optionally, the recommendations relate to other specific driving tasks such as starting or stopping a braking procedure, the appropriate line or path to follow around a curve at a given indicated speed, or starting or stopping an acceleration procedure. The recommendations are conveyed to the driver by way of indicia that is preferably provided on a portion of the driving surface of the track or road course. The indicia can be one or multiple colors, one or multiple shapes or symbols, or other suitable visually conspicuous elements or matter.
