    摘要: A method for grinding a workpiece with a toothing or a profile, in which, in a single workpiece clamping operation in the grinding machine, the toothing or the profile is pre-machined using a rough-grinding tool in a first step and then the toothing or the profile is finished using a smooth-grinding tool in a second step. Simultaneously with the first working step, the toothing or the profile is measured by at least one sensor, wherein a geometric variable defining the toothing or the profile or a variable linked to the geometry is measured, and wherein the deviation of the measured geometric variable or of the variable linked to the geometry is determined from a target value in the machine control.

    摘要: A probe assembly for measuring a synthetic turf infill profile having a probe, a turf surface contact assembly and a sensor. The probe is configured to extend down through the turf infill profile until a tip of the probe contacts a lower boundary of the turf infill profile. The surface contact assembly is vertically movable relative to the probe while the probe is being moved downwardly into the turf infill profile, wherein the surface contact assembly has a contact area with the turf surface that is large enough to retain the surface contact assembly resting atop an upper boundary of the turf infill profile when the lowermost tip of the at least one probe has contacted the lower boundary of the turf infill profile. The sensor reads the distance between the upper and lower boundaries of the turf infill profile at a sampled location in the turf surface.

    摘要: A tool for detecting a covered edge of a structural member through sealant material of a fillet seal includes an edge detection probe mounted to a fixture. The probe outputs an interrogation signal toward the covered edge and receives a return signal indicative of a location of the covered edge. The tool includes an electronic control unit (“ECU”) in communication with the edge detection probe and a display screen. The ECU is configured to generate, from the return signal, one or more XY coordinates indicative of the edge location, and to display the edge location on the display screen. Additionally, the tool includes a seal measurement device. In response to the edge location, the device measures a predetermined dimension of the fillet seal, including a thickness and/or a shape of the fillet seal. A method includes detecting the covered edge using the tool.
