摘要: In some examples, interested parties would like to know the identity of various assets in a transportation environment. In some examples, the asset could be a tractor platform. In other examples, the asset could be cargo associated with a transport platform. Some of the examples described herein utilize the motion of a transport platform to power an RFID reader to read an identifier stored within an RFID tag that is coupled to an asset. In some examples, the system utilizes the identifier to identify the asset, which may be transmitted to an electronic device that is accessible to the interested parties. In further examples, a geolocation of the asset may also be transmitted to an electronic device that is accessible to the interested parties.

摘要: Embodiments presented provide for an acoustic based radioactive source tracking apparatus, system, and method. The apparatus includes a shield frame configuring an internal volume, a sensing device positioned within the internal volume, a first acoustic transmitter/receiver within the internal volume, and a second acoustic transmitter/receiver external to the shield frame. The sensing device is configured to detect a radioactive source and communicate a signal to the first acoustic transmitter/receiver. The first acoustic transmitter/receiver is configured to receive the signal generated by the sensing device, and to communicate an acoustic signal to the second acoustic transmitter/receiver.

摘要: An enhanced broadcast data service with reports locations of traffic enforcement camera locations (e.g., red light cameras and speed cameras) to users. Traffic enforcement camera information is aggregated, verified (e.g., particularly as to traffic enforcement camera type) and stored (e.g., at a server). A broadcast signal comprising program channels and at least one data channel having traffic enforcement camera information is transmitted to a plurality of receivers. Receivers store at least a subset of the traffic enforcement camera information available from the server and synchronize to it using periodic transmitted updates. Receivers compare receiver location data with stored camera location data, and display or generate audible alerts when the receiver is within a selected geographic range of a traffic enforcement camera. Alerts can be filtered as to camera type. A alerts can employ different color camera icons superimposed on a screen map depending on camera type or whether the camera is newly added.

摘要: Provided is a method for marking a ground surface according to a predefined marking pattern using a system including a robot unit and a local base station including acts of providing two flag points, receiving global positioning data of the robot unit using a robot GNSS receiver, receiving global positioning data of the local base station using a base GNSS receiver, and establishing a local base station position using the received global positioning data of the local base station. A method wherein the predefined marking pattern is arranged relative to the two flag point positions and wherein the local base station position is a system reference point of the system. Also provided is a system for marking a ground surface according to a predefined marking pattern and the use thereof or parts thereof.

摘要: Power can be preserved in a tracking device equipped with a GPS receiver and a transceiver by evaluating the proximity of the tracking device to a mobile device and enabling the GPS receiver and transceiver only in the event that the tracking device is out of the range of the mobile device. Once enabled, the location of the tracking device can be determined based on location information received from the GPS receiver. The determined location can be provided to a tracking system associated with the tracking device. The tracking system can then inform an owner of the tracking device of the determined location. Once the tracking device has been found, the GPS receiver and the transceiver can be disabled to save additional power.
