摘要: In an image forming apparatus a controller receives user instruction information for printing a test chart, controls a printer to print the test chart on a sheet regardless of a result of reading mode selection, controls a display to display a screen for selecting a reading mode for reading the test chart among a plurality of reading modes, and controls a conveyance roller and a reading sensor to read the test chart on the sheet while conveying a stacked sheet in a case where a first reading mode is selected on the screen. The controller also controls the reading sensor to read the test chart on the sheet on a platen in a case where a second reading mode is selected on the screen, and controls density of the image to be printed by the printer based on a reading result of the test chart by the reading sensor.

摘要: An image forming system includes an image forming unit, a varnish coating unit, a reception unit, and a control unit. The image forming unit executes an image forming process of forming an image on types of recording media including a first type of recording medium with a coated layer and a second type of recording medium without a coated layer. The varnish coating unit executes a varnish coating process of varnish coating a recording medium on which an image is formed by the image forming unit. The reception unit receives a printing job from a user. The control unit controls the varnish coating unit. When the printing job received by the reception unit is a printing job for executing the varnish coating process on the second type of recording medium, the control unit controls the varnish coating unit to prevent the varnish coating unit from executing the varnish coating process.

摘要: Disclosed are selective deposition based additive manufacturing systems (10) and methods for printing a 3D part. Layers of a powder material (22) are developed using one or more electrostatography-based engines (12). The layers (22) are transferred for deposition on a part build surface. For each of the layers (22), the part build surface is heated to a temperature within a range between a flowable temperature and a thermal oxidation threshold to form a flowable part build surface, and the developed layer (22) is pressed into contact with the flowable build surface (88) to heat the developed layers (22) to a flowable state and form a new part build surface (88) which is fully consolidated. The new part build surface (88) is then cooled to remove the heat energy added during heating step before repeating the steps for the next developed layer.

摘要: An image inspection device includes a processor coupled to a sensor. The processor reads, using the sensor, an image formed on a recording material by an image forming device and creates a read image; causes an analysis to detect an abnormality in the read image and creates an analysis result; and creates a normal image file including the read image in which the abnormality has not been detected based on the analysis result.

摘要: An image-forming apparatus includes, in a body having a predetermined house, an image-reading unit and an image-forming unit that is configured to form an image read by the image-reading unit. A discharge portion is configured to discharge a sheet on which the image was formed onto a discharge tray. An intra-apparatus-discharge space is formed in the body between the image-reading unit and the image-forming unit. The housing includes therein a consumption article mounting portion in which a consumption article used by the image-forming unit is mounted. At least a portion of a surface of the housing at a region of the consumption article mounting portion has a light-transmissive property. When the consumption article is consumed and needs to be replenished, the operator can visually check the region of the consumption article mounting portion in the housing from the outside of the body through the transparent portion.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a reading table, an image reading device, an image forming device with an exposure device, and circuitry. The reading device reads a pattern on a recording medium on the table, and generates image data of the pattern. The exposure device includes a light emitting element to form an electrostatic latent image, based on which the image forming device forms the pattern. Based on first and second correction values, the circuitry calculates a third correction value to correct a light amount of the light emitting element. The exposure device includes a driving device that drives the light emitting element based on the third correction value. The circuitry sets at least two or more determination areas in each of a white area and a pattern area of the medium, and determines whether the medium has a rise based on density data in the determination areas.
