    摘要: An apparatus comprises a first controller configured to control at least the flow rate of a polymerization inhibitor or acrylonitrile product to a first location where the two are mixed. The apparatus comprises a first on-line analyzer configured to measure polymerization inhibitor concentration in the acrylonitrile product at a second location, the second location downstream of the first location. The first on-line analyzer is configured to provide information relating to the measured inhibitor concentration at the second location to the first controller, the first controller configured to process the information from the first on-line analyzer and to adjust at least a first operating parameter of a first addition device if the measured inhibitor concentration at the second location is outside a first predetermined condition. A second controller and a second on-line analyzer are provided to provide similar control of water addition to acrylonitrile product.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided which allows the ozonated water concentration to be retained and avoids being affected by the fluctuation of the amount of the ozonated water to be used. A method for the supply of a constant-concentration ozonated water, employs a unit for producing ozonated water and a system for using the ozonated water at a place separated therefrom, and interposing an ozonated water circulating line between the ozonated water producing unit and the place for using the ozonated water, causing the interior of the circulating line to circulate the ozonated water so that the flow rate may be constantly fixed at the outlet of the ozonated water producing unit, monitoring the ozone concentration of the ozonated water in the neighborhood of the outlet, adjusting the amount of an ozone gas supplied to the ozonated water producing unit and/or the concentration of the ozone gas based on the results of the monitoring, further monitoring the amount of the ozonated water used at the place for using the ozonated water, and controlling the amount of the ozonated water to be produced based on the results of this monitoring. The ozonated water can be used without being discarded even where the use of the ozonated water at the place of use is suspended temporarily. The constant-concentration ozonated water can be produced and supplied and the ozone can be utilized effectively.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for injecting a liquid product or chemical into a main water supply line used for agricultural or industrial purposes. A pressure regulating bypass valve has an inlet side connected to an outlet line of a multi-ganged, diaphragm pump. The pump is run at a constant speed and produces a non-pulsatile flow of product. The bypass line of the valve is connected to an inlet line of the pump. The bypass valve is set at a predetermined pressure, discharging any excess product into the bypass line. The product line at the outlet side of the bypass valve progresses in serial fashion to an electronic control valve, a product flow meter, and a check valve. The output side of the check valve is interconnected to the main water supply line for injection of product therein. A water flow meter is also provided in the main water supply line. A computerized controller samples flow rates within the water supply line and the product line, and manipulates the electronic control valve to effect various proportional or fixed injection rates for the product. The controller is programmed to carry out different predetermined modes of operation through a user-friendly menu driven system using a keypad for mode selection and data entry. The controller also logs all information pertaining to operational aspects of the injection system. A special mode is provided for calibrating the product flow meter to compensate for changes in product viscosity as a result of different product, temperatures, and concentrations.

    摘要: A chemical blending system for blending two or more constituent chemicals to a desired concentration. One embodiment of the system includes a mix tank, a recirculation line having an inlet and an outlet in the tank, and a pump in the recirculation line for recirculating and mixing the blended chemical. A source of diluent is fluidly coupled to the mix tank through a diluent inlet and supply line. A source of concentrated chemical is fluidly coupled to the recirculation line through a concentrated chemical inlet, supply line, and an adding valve located in the recirculation line between the inlet and pump. A conductivity-type sensor in the recirculation line provides continuous measurements of the blended chemical concentration. A titration analyzer is coupled to the recirculation line to provide periodic blended chemical concentration measurements. A programmable logic control system including a processor and associated memory is coupled to the adding valve, conductivity-type sensor and titration analyzer. A blending control program and process control values are stored in the memory. The processor executes the blending control program and controls the concentrate adding valve as a function of the concentration measurements provided by the conductivity-type sensor and titration analyzer to blend the chemical to the desired concentration.

    摘要: An automatic demand chlorination system for use with a recirculation unit for a body of fluid, the body of fluid has a chemical therein. The automatic demand chlorination system comprises a chemical sensing unit for detecting the amount of the chemical and producing a signal, a chemical feed unit for feeding the chemical into the recirculation unit, an electronics unit for controlling the feeding of the chemical, and a solenoid unit for actuating the chemical feed unit. The electronics unit comprises input signal regulation means for receiving the signal of the sensing unit and generating a regulated signal; comparator means for comparing the regulated signal with a predetermined signal representative of the desired amount of the chemical in the recirculation unit and generating a chemical infeed signal; and solenoid timer means for receiving the chemical infeed signal and activating the solenoid unit.
