    摘要: A fixed insulator includes a plurality of first fixing grooves disposed along an arrangement direction in which a plurality of contacts are arranged, and partition walls each disposed between two adjacent contacts. A movable insulator includes a plurality of second fixing grooves disposed along the arrangement direction. The contacts each include a first base portion supported by a corresponding one of the first fixing grooves, a second base portion supported by a corresponding one of the second fixing grooves, a first arm portion connected to the first base portion and disposed between two corresponding adjacent ones of the partition walls, and a second arm portion connected to the first arm portion and the second base portion. A largest width of the first arm portion is smaller than a largest width of the second arm portion.

    摘要: An electrical connector designed for high speed signals. The connector includes one or more features that, when used alone or in combination, extend performance to higher speeds. These features may include compensation for tie bars that are used to hold conductive members in place for molding a housing around the conductive members. Removal of the tie bars during manufacture of the connector may leave artifacts in the conductive members and/or housing, which may be addressed by the features. The conductive members, for example, may include regions, adjacent tie bar locations, that compensate for portions of the tie bar that are not fully removed. Alternatively or additionally, a housing may include openings around tie bar locations such that a punch may be used to sever the tie bars. These openings may be filled to avoid performance-affecting artifacts.

    摘要: A compression connector comprises a connector body comprising an inner surface and a threaded clamp at least partially positioned within the connector body and configured to slide relative to the connector body. A contact cone is positioned within the connector body and comprises an outer surface configured to engage with the inner surface of the connector body. An insulator is positioned proximate the contact cone and defines an aperture. An inner conductor comprises a contact component comprising an inner conductor basket and a cylindrical portion extending from the conductor basket, and an interface component defining an opening configured to engage with the cylindrical portion of the contact component. The contact component, the interface component, and the insulator are held together such that they form a rigid three-piece assembly when the threaded clamp couples an end of a cable.

    摘要: A connector assembly which controls impedance. The connector assembly includes a first metallic outer housing and a second metallic outer housing. The second metallic housing has a conductor receiving portion. A rib is formed in the conductor receiving portion, the rib extends in a direction which is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the second metallic outer shell. A terminal positioned in the connector assembly has a conductor receiving section and a mating terminal receiving section. The mating terminal receiving section has a lead-in portion and securing projections. At least one longitudinally extending opening is positioned about the circumference of the mating terminal receiving section, the opening reduces the cross section of the terminal. The opening provides impedance tuning to allow for a defined pitch of the terminal to be maintained without an impedance drop because of the close proximity of the terminal to an adjacent terminal.
