摘要： A wire preparation device includes a motor, a device housing coupled to the motor, and a wire spinner held by the device housing. The wire spinner is mechanically connected to the motor via power coupling components. The wire spinner extends to a wire end that protrudes from the device housing. The wire spinner includes a collet sleeve defining a channel configured to receive an end of one or more wires of a cable therein through an opening at the wire end. The wire spinner further includes an outer collar surrounding the collet sleeve and selectively movable relative to the collet sleeve to force the collet sleeve to contract radially inward for releasably securing the one or more wires within the channel. The wire spinner is rotated by the motor relative to the device housing to untwist or straighten the one or more wires secured within the collet sleeve.

摘要： A process for making a biosensor comprising a hollow coil having wires coiled in parallel and an electronic circuit component connected to the coil, the process including: 1) providing a mandrel on which wires including at least a first wire, a second wire and a third wire are wound in parallel, 2a) immersing the mandrel in a first buffer solution comprising a first bioreceptor, a first monomer and optional additives, 2b) arranging the wires such that the first wire may be used as a working electrode, the second wire may be used as a counter electrode and the third wire may be used as a reference electrode of a three electrode electrochemical cell used in an electropolymerization process, 3) passing electric current through the first wire to form a first biocompatible coating of a first polymer polymerized from the first monomer comprising the first bioreceptor on the first wire, 4) removing the coil from the mandrel, 5) connecting the wires to their respective points of the electronic circuit component such that the first wire may be used as a working electrode, the second wire may be used as a counter electrode and the third wire may be used as a reference electrode and wherein the electronic circuit component is configured such that it can generate an input signal for a wireless receiver based upon the activity of the bioreceptor and wirelessly send the input signal to the wireless receiver.

摘要： A loop-forming tool for forming a loop in a conductor has a grip with a first end section having a central post and an off-axis post mounted therein. The two posts are spaced to allow a conductor to pass therebetween and to grip the conductor when the tool is rotated, bending the conductor around the central post to form a U-shape. Rotating the tool in the opposite direction changes the U-shaped hook to a “?”-shaped hook for attaching to a tie-down bolt. Index marks can be provided on a terminal surface of the first end section to facilitate making consistent loops. The relative sizes of the posts can be configured to allow the tool to also serve to wrap the loop around the tie-down bolt, and to provide a screwdriver for subsequently tightening the tie-down bolt to secure the looped conductor thereto.
