摘要: Provided is a component measuring apparatus configured to determine a functional form that describes wavelength characteristics of a variation attributable to scattering (S (λ)). The apparatus then determines unknown one or more coefficients (p, q) based on a first relational expression that involves a variation attributable to absorption (H (λ1)) and a group of second relational expressions that do not involve variations attributable to absorption (H (λ2a), H (λ2b), H (λ2c)). The apparatus then corrects an absorbance measured at an arbitrary wavelength (λ) using a function where the one or more coefficients (p, q) are applied to the functional form so as to reduce or eliminate at least the effects of scattering of light.

The present invention relates to a polynucleotide encoding a soluble coenzyme-linked glucose dehydrogenase that catalyzes the oxidation of glucose in the presence of an electron acceptor and has an activity toward maltose of 5% or lower; a polypeptide encoded by the nucleotide sequence of the polynucleotide; a recombinant vector carrying the polynucleotide; a transformed cell produced using the recombinant vector; a method for producing a polypeptide comprising culturing the transformed cell and collecting from the cultivated products a polypeptide that links to FAD to exert the glucose dehydration activity; a method for determination of glucose using the polypeptide; a reagent composition for determination of glucose; and a biosensor.

摘要: A process for making a biosensor comprising a hollow coil having wires coiled in parallel and an electronic circuit component connected to the coil, the process including: 1) providing a mandrel on which wires including at least a first wire, a second wire and a third wire are wound in parallel, 2a) immersing the mandrel in a first buffer solution comprising a first bioreceptor, a first monomer and optional additives, 2b) arranging the wires such that the first wire may be used as a working electrode, the second wire may be used as a counter electrode and the third wire may be used as a reference electrode of a three electrode electrochemical cell used in an electropolymerization process, 3) passing electric current through the first wire to form a first biocompatible coating of a first polymer polymerized from the first monomer comprising the first bioreceptor on the first wire, 4) removing the coil from the mandrel, 5) connecting the wires to their respective points of the electronic circuit component such that the first wire may be used as a working electrode, the second wire may be used as a counter electrode and the third wire may be used as a reference electrode and wherein the electronic circuit component is configured such that it can generate an input signal for a wireless receiver based upon the activity of the bioreceptor and wirelessly send the input signal to the wireless receiver.

摘要: Reagents, assays, methods, kits, devices, and systems for rapid measurement of cholesterol and cholesterol sub-fractions from a blood sample are provided. Total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol can be measured in a single assay using kinetic measurements, under conditions in which cholesterol sub-species are converted to a detectable product at distinct rates. The detectable product is measured at different times after assay initiation. A lipase, cholesterol esterase, cholesterol oxidase and a peroxidase may be used together to produce colored product in amounts directly proportional to the quantity of cholesterol converted. Methods for calculating very-low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels by further including triglyceride measurements are disclosed. Assays may be performed in a single reaction mixture, allowing more accurate and precise cholesterol determinations, including ratios of cholesterol sub-fractions to total cholesterol, at less expense, than would be expected by performing several different assays in different reaction mixtures.

A method for measuring cholesterol in high-density lipoprotein in a specimen, comprising reacting the specimen with i) a cholesterol ester hydrolase and a cholesterol oxidase, or ii) a cholesterol ester hydrolase, an oxidized coenzyme, and a cholesterol dehydrogenase, in an aqueous medium comprising at least one substance selected from the group consisting of pyridinium salts and quaternary ammonium salts each having a specific structure, and a polyanion to form hydrogen peroxide or reduced coenzyme and measuring the formed hydrogen peroxide or reduced coenzyme.
