摘要: An anode for a lithium secondary battery includes an anode current collector, a second anode active material layer disposed on the anode current collector and including a second anode active material that includes a graphite-based active material and composite particles, and a first anode active material layer disposed between the anode current collector and the second anode active material layer and including a first anode active material that includes a graphite-based active material and does not include the composite particles. Each of the composite particles includes a carbon-based particle including pores, a silicon-containing coating layer disposed on an inside of the pores of the carbon-based particle or on a surface of the carbon-based particle, and a surface oxide layer disposed on the silicon-containing coating layer and including a silicon oxide.

摘要: Described herein are improved composite anodes and lithium-ion batteries made therefrom. Further described are methods of making and using the improved anodes and batteries. In general, the anodes include a porous composite having a plurality of agglomerated nanocomposites. At least one of the plurality of agglomerated nanocomposites is formed from a dendritic particle, which is a three-dimensional, randomly-ordered assembly of nanoparticles of an electrically conducting material and a plurality of discrete non-porous nanoparticles of a non-carbon Group 4A element or mixture thereof disposed on a surface of the dendritic particle. At least one nanocomposite of the plurality of agglomerated nanocomposites has at least a portion of its dendritic particle in electrical communication with at least a portion of a dendritic particle of an adjacent nanocomposite in the plurality of agglomerated nanocomposites.

摘要: An electrode material useful as a dry in place deposit comprising at least one metal chelating polymer; an active material capable of reversibly intercalating lithium ions; a plurality of electrical conductor particles; a binder polymer. The electrode material is formed into a slurry using a non-aqueous solvent. The metal chelating polymer may be a reaction product of a polyphenolic polymer; an aldehyde, a ketone, or mixtures thereof; and an amine. The electrode material slurry is deposited on a current collector and dried to form a positive electrode in a secondary lithium ion battery. The deposited electrode material has high flexibility, adhesion to the current collector, resistance to electrolyte damage, and low electrical resistance. The electrode material forms a superior positive electrode at a relatively low additional cost and with no increase in process complexity.

摘要: Disclosed is a lithium-sulfur battery capable of improving cycle lifetime performance, by using together with a positive electrode containing a sulfur-modified polyacrylonitrile (S-PAN)-based compound as an active material and a specific electrolyte showing a synergistic effect with it, so that the problems of dendrite formation and electrolyte decomposition and depletion, which occur when lithium metal is used as a negative electrode, are prevented. The lithium-sulfur battery comprises a positive electrode comprising at least one sulfur-modified polyacrylonitrile-based compound as an active material; lithium metal negative electrode; and an electrolyte containing a first solvent containing a heterocyclic compound containing one or more double bonds and at the same time containing any one of an oxygen atom and a sulfur atom, a second solvent containing diglyme and lithium salt.

摘要: A method for the preparation of an electrode comprising a substrate made of an aluminium based material, vertically aligned carbon nanotubes and an electrically conductive polymer matrix, the method comprising the following successive steps: (a) synthesising, on a substrate made of an aluminium based material, a carpet of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes according to the technique of CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) at a temperature less than or equal to 650° C.; (b) electrochemically depositing the polymer matrix on the carbon nanotubes from an electrolyte solution including at least one precursor monomer of the matrix, at least one ionic liquid and at least one protic or aprotic solvent. Further disclosed is the prepared electrode and a device for storing and returning electricity such as a supercapacitor comprising the electrode.

摘要: A method for producing a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, the negative electrode comprising a current collector, and a negative electrode active material layer disposed on the current collector, the method comprises: preparing a slurry comprising a negative electrode active material, a binder, a water-soluble polymeric thickener, and an aqueous solvent; and forming a coating layer to be used as the negative electrode active material layer by applying the slurry on the current collector and drying the slurry for removing the aqueous solvent, and the preparing a slurry comprises: preparing a dispersion comprising the water-soluble polymeric thickener dissolved and an acrylic binder dispersed; and preparing and stirring a mixture comprising a powder material comprising the negative electrode active material, and the dispersion.
