    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a rectifier circuit and methods of making the same for use in wireless devices (e.g., RFID tags). The present invention is drawn to a rectifier circuit comprising first and second diode-wired transistors in series, each having a gate oxide layers of the same target thickness. The first diode-wired transistor receives an alternating current and the second diode-wired transistor provides a rectifier output. The first and second diode-wired transistors are configured to divide between them a first voltage differential across the rectifier circuit. The gate oxides are exposed to a peak stress that is similar to a stress on the gate oxide of logic transistors made using the same process. The present invention is further drawn to a method of making a rectifier circuit, comprising printing a plurality of transistor bodies on a substrate, forming a gate oxide on each of the transistor bodies and a gate on each gate oxide, doping exposed portions of the transistor body to form first and second source/drain terminals therein, and forming interconnects electrically connecting the first source/drain terminals to the gate over the corresponding transistor body.

The controller supplies gate control signals to the SCRs (1 to 6) of the rectifier bridge in accordance with the envelope of the three-phase supply voltages and provides for protection of the inverter (314) when shoot-through conditions occur in the inverter (314) and provides for output DC voltage adjustment by controlling the firing time of the rectifier bridge SCRs.

    摘要: The converter protection device has a number of controlled semiconductor elements. A control unit is connected to the semiconductor elements of the converter for forming firing pulses for the controlled semiconductor elements. Reference blocking intervals for the semiconductor elements are set and actual blocking intervals of the semiconductor elements are set and controlled. A comparator receives and compares the reference and actual blocking intervals. There are also provided a read-only memory for storing the reference blocking intervals, an event counter for counting disturbances detected by comparison of the reference and actual blocking intervals, a memory stage being connected to the event counter and being set if the event counter reaches a predetermined count, and a time-base device connected to the event counter and memory stage for resetting the event counter if the memory stage is not set at the end of a predetermined base time.

    摘要: An interface circuit is provided for interconnecting an electronic controller to a contactor circuit which, in turn, controls the alternating current flow from an alternating current power source to controlled equipment, such as a resistance welding machine. The contactor circuit, for example, includes a pair of semiconductor switching devices, such as silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR)s, the two semiconductor switching devices are alternately rendered conductive during successive half-cycles of the alternating current power from the alternating current power source at times controlled by the controller for the controlled operation of the welding machine. The interface circuit includes means for monitoring the junction temperature of each of the semiconductor switching devices, and to provide an indication and a control effect should the junction temperature exceed a particular safe threshold.

    摘要: A protection device for a thyristor inverter circuit of an induction heating cooking oven wherein commutation failure of a thyristor is detected by determining that the conduction period of the thyristor is outside a predetermined period or that a voltage applied to the thyristor is outside of a predetermined magnitude. The protection device deactuates the inverter to prevent breakdown of the thyristor and reduces the number of operations of the circuit breaker which is a final protection device. Additionally provided are linked switch actuator apparatus for placing a switch for actuating a thyristor control circuit in a state in which it is always actuated in advance of the actuation of a switch for a heating coil in order to prevent occurrance of a transient high voltage due to the switching of an inductive load in the inverter circuit, and an overheating protection circuit for detecting an abnormal temperature rise of the heating coil and an abnormal load condition to deactuate the inverter.

    摘要: Circuitry for providing high voltage DC power from commercially available 60 hertz AC utility power. The incoming 60 hertz AC voltage is rectified to a DC voltage. This DC voltage is then converted to a high frequency AC voltage by means of a sine wave inverter. This high frequency sine wave voltage is then converted to a different voltage and rectified by a voltage doubler. The inversion and rectification are under the control of logic circuitry which includes means for sensing line faults to provide circuit protection.
