    摘要: A rotor for a synchronous reluctance machine includes a rotor core having a plurality of magnetically conductive laminations stacked in a rotor axial direction. The magnetically conductive laminations include cut-out portions forming a plurality of flux barriers radially alternated by flux paths portions, where at least one of the flux barriers includes a ridge connecting two flux paths portions adjacent to the at least one flux barrier. The at least one flux barrier has a first barrier mid-line, which is a line that is equidistant from both sides of the at least one flux barrier. The bridge has a second bridge mid-line, which is the line that is equidistant from both sides of the bridge. The first and second mid-lines intersect. The bridge has a first and second symmetry axis and is non-symmetrical with respect to at least one of the first and second symmetry axis.

    摘要: An electric drive comprises a bearingless electric machine, a converter, and a control device. The stator of the electric machine has a cage winding including bars connected to a conductor ring. The control device controls the converter to supply torque generating current components to the bars so that torque is generated in accordance with electric machine control and to supply levitation current components to the bars so that the rotor of the bearingless electric machine is levitated in accordance with levitation control. The cage winding allows the currents of the bars to be controlled so that different current sheet distributions can be generated so as to generate desired torque and magnetic force.

    摘要: An embodiment relates to a method for operating a three-phase machine including a rotor and a stator connected to a three-phase network. The stator is connected to the three-phase network via a first semiconductor circuit arrangement for forming a first rotational field rotating in a first direction of rotation in the stator and via a second semiconductor circuit arrangement for forming a second rotational field rotating in a direction of rotation opposite to the first direction of rotation in the stator. The three-phase machine further includes a controller. The method includes controlling, via the controller, semiconductors of the first and second semiconductor circuit arrangement to accelerate the rotor by current pulses of both the first rotational field and second rotational field in the first direction of rotation.

    摘要: A rotor for an LSIPM comprises a plurality of permanent magnets defining a number of poles (“P”) of the LSIPM, and a plurality of rotor bars spaced about the rotor defining a rotor bar area (“BA”). The rotor bars are formed of a conductive material having an associated conductivity (“σRB”). End members are disposed on axial opposite ends of the rotor core. The end members are in electrical contact with the rotor bars. The end members are formed from a material having an associated conductivity (“σEM”). Each end ring member has a minimum geometric cross sectional area (“ERA”) and outer diameter that generally corresponds to the rotor core outer diameter. The ERA is greater than 0.5 times the rotor bar area per the number of poles (BA/P) times a ratio of the rotor bar material conductivity to the end member material conductivity (σRB/σEM).

    摘要: A line start permanent magnet (LSPM) brushless motor includes a stator, a rotor assembly disposed in the central opening defined by the stator. The rotor assembly includes a magnet unit and a rotor. The magnet unit is arranged along an inner circumferential surface of the stator so as to define an air gap between the stator. The rotor rotatably is coupled to a shaft such that the rotor is configured to rotate adjacent the magnet unit. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor slots, each rotor slot defining a double-cage winding that includes an upper cage and a lower cage. The double-cage winding can serve as a damper, which reduces the starting current upon rotational startup of the rotor.
