    摘要: A sequentially switched bulk acoustic wave (BAW) delay line circulator is disclosed herein. A circulator circuit is implemented with semiconductor components in order to provide a compact, low cost solution for simultaneous signal transmission and reception over a single antenna. For example, the circulator circuit can include a transmit (TX) port, a receive (RX) port, and an antenna port. Antenna switching circuitry selectively couples the antenna port to two or more BAW delay lines, and TX/RX switching circuitry selectively couples the BAW delay lines to the TX port or the RX port. The BAW delay lines function as memory to store TX and RX signals long enough for the antenna switching circuitry, a TX switch, and a RX switch to be switched in sequence and route the TX signals from the TX port to the antenna port and route the RX signals from the antenna port to the RX port.

    摘要: A birefringent single-mode acoustic fiber for propagating linearly polarized shear acoustic waves while preserving linear polarization, comprises an elongated core region of a solid material in which acoustic waves can be propagated in two orthogonal shear mode components, and a cladding region enclosing all surfaces of the core region except end surfaces thereof, the cladding region being also of a solid material in which acoustic waves can be propagated in two orthogonal shear mode components. The core and cladding regions have different shear wave velocities with the shear wave velocity of the core region being lower than that of the cladding region, the core or cladding region being characterized by at least one birefringence causing factor selected from the group consisting of (a) noncircular geometry of the core region, (b) asymmetry of shear wave velocity distribution in the core region and (c) asymmetrical stress induced in the cladding region, whereby to strongly break degeneracy between the two orthogonal shear mode components and preserve linear polarization thereof throughout the fiber. The birefringent single-mode acoustic fiber according to the invention is particularly useful in acoustic fiber sensor systems for monitoring environmental changes in pressure, temperature, strain, stress, etc.

The invention overcomes the problem of undesired phase or group delay variations from a desired linear or quadratic phase variation as a function of frequency.

    摘要: The linearity of group delay versus frequency in magnetostatic wave delay lines is improved by a linear variation of one of three discrete parameters in the region between the two delay line transducers. The parameter variation is applied to magnetostatic wave delay lines that have a ground plane, a magnetic garnet crystal film substrate that is spaced from the ground plane and has transmitting and receiving transducers engaged to it, and a magnetic bias field. The discrete parameters varied are the magnetic bias field; the distance of the substrate from the ground plane; and the thickness of the substrate. Appropriate linear variations of any one of the these parameters provides improved linearity of group delay versus frequency.

    摘要: In a device for annexing a reverberation sound similar to natural reverberation in the course of sound recording, an elastic raw material such as a leaf spring is bent into a bridge element of any shape such as a stanchion ( ), or M-shape provided with a pair of rising foot portions. The bridge element is interposed in an intermediate portion of a coiled spring which is spanned between a drive-transducer and a pickup-transducer. Vibration which is applied along the helical direction of the coiled spring is transmitted, and at the same time the compressive movement of the coiled spring induced by said vibration is absorbed by means of spring action of the bridge element, thereby flutter modulation caused by the compressive movement of the coiled spring can be prevented. Moreover, irregular bending of any portion of the bridge element in front or rear direction can prevent induction of resonance in the audio frequency range.
