    摘要: An example method for fast ramp start-up during analog to digital conversion (ADC) includes opening a feedback bypass switch coupled to an amplifier to initiate an ADC operation, providing an injection current pulse to an inverting input of the amplifier, where the non-inverting input is coupled to a feedback bypass switch, integrating a first reference current coupled to the inverting input of the amplifier, where the integrating of the first reference current occurs due to the opening of the feedback bypass switch, and providing a reference voltage in response to the injection current pulse, the integrating of the first reference current, and a reference voltage coupled to a non-inverting input of the amplifier, where a level of the reference voltage is increased at least at initiation of the ADC operation in response to the injection current pulse.

    摘要: An adaptive slope generator can include a current mirror configured to receive a multiplied current that varies as a function of an output voltage and a switching frequency of a switching current. The output voltage can characterize the switching current provided to a load coupled to an inductor. The current mirror can also be configured to receive an oscillation current. The oscillation current can have an amplitude that corresponds to the switching frequency of the switching current. The current mirror can be further configured to generate an output current substantially equivalent to the product of the oscillation current and the output voltage. The adaptive slope generator can also include a ramp generator configured to generate a compensation signal based on the output current. The compensation signal can have a sawtooth shape and a slope that varies as a function of the output voltage.

    摘要: A signal generator generates a reference signal, centered about a reference voltage and having a predetermined period. The signal generator also generates output signals P and Z. The output signal P is a squarewave which changes levels at the peaks of the reference signal. The output signal Z is a squarewave which changes levels at the reference voltage crossings of the reference signal. A phase-shifted signal generator generates a phase-shifted signal using the output signals P and Z by switching in appropriate signal levels from the signal generator. The output signals P and Z are input to a switch control circuit which controls a network of switches, depending on a current region of the reference signal, to couple appropriate signals to an amplifier circuit. The switch control circuit determines the current region based on the state of the output signals P and Z. The amplifier circuit provides the phase-shifted signal in response to the signals coupled to it by the network of switches. In an alternate embodiment, the output signal Z is generated by a hysteretic comparator and changes levels at positive and negative threshold levels above and below the reference voltage. The values of the positive and negative threshold values are variable and determine the degree of phase shift between the phase-shifted signal and the reference signal.
