Abstract: A method of enabling synchronisation of a second clock at a second device with a first clock at a first device further comprising a third clock. A first message comprising an identifier generated in dependence on the third clock is transmitted to the second device. A timestamp is generated in dependence on the time at which the first message is transmitted from the first device according to the first clock, and a second message comprising the identifier and the generated timestamp is generated. The second message is then transmitted to the second device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for temporal context monitoring and enforcement for telecommunications networks are disclosed. A first and a second set of metrics associated with a network are collected. The first set of metrics are associated with a first time and indicate a first state of the network. The second set of metrics are associated with a second time and indicate a second state of the network. An indication of an anomaly on the network is determined responsive to comparing the second set of metrics with the first set of metrics. A network policy is applied to revert the network from the second state to the first state.

Abstract: A computing system including a processor configured to receive packet preamble binary data and packet header binary data associated with a satellite. The processor may generate a simulated signal that encodes the packet preamble binary data and the packet header binary data. The processor may receive a satellite downlink signal. Within each of a plurality of sample intervals of the satellite downlink signal, the processor may compute a respective correlation between the satellite downlink signal and at least a portion of the simulated signal. The processor may select an identified sample interval of the plurality of sample intervals based at least in part on the plurality of correlations. The processor may decode binary satellite signal data based at least in part on the identified sample of the satellite downlink signal. The processor may output the binary satellite signal data.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed are directed to ensuring resource compliance within a cloud-based environment. The embodiments include steps for performing both pre-provisioning and post-provisioning checks of resources, such as network protocols, prior to and after their deployment within the cloud-based environment. These steps include using bitemporal analysis to determine the impact of deploying resources within the environment through the use of multiple execution timelines where the impact of deploying a resource may be evaluated on an alternative timeline that does not change the current resource scope of the cloud-based environment. The analysis may further include tracking the impact of the resource after it has been deployed to ensure resource compliance.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed are directed to an immutable database in a data processing system for tracking a data state of the data processing system using multiple timelines or temporal sequences representing events occurring in the data processing system. The immutable database may maintain a current temporal sequence representing an existing data state of the data processing system and generate alternate temporal sequences representing an alternate data state of the data processing system. The alternate temporal sequence may be used to test retroactive events that are intended to replace or correct events that occurred in the current temporal sequence.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a cloud connection appliance features a processor and a non-transitory storage medium. The non-transitory storage medium comprises management control logic, that when executed by the processor, controls registration with a controller adapted to control data traffic between gateway instance and to establish a communication path including a reverse tunnel with the controller. The controller and cloud connection appliance operate in a client-server relationship with the cloud connection appliance operates as a client when establishing the communication path and operates as a server when receiving control information through the reverse tunnel. The reverse tunnel enables the cloud connection appliance to directly receive the control information from the controller despite the cloud connection application lacking a publicly routable Internet Protocol (IP) address.
