Abstract: A laser device includes a laser (600) and a controller (622). The laser has an optical cavity (602) that includes an active gain section (604) and a phase shifter (606). The controller is configured to excite the active gain section to lase light out of the optical cavity. The controller is further configured to, while the light is being lased out of the optical cavity, modulate a refractive index of the phase shifter to shift an optical phase of lasing modes of the lased light to thereby reduce coherence of the lased light.

Abstract: A semiconductor laser device comprises an active layer having a main extension plane, a first cladding layer and a second cladding layer where the active layer is arranged between the first and second cladding layer in a direction perpendicular to the main extension plane, at least one first emission region and at least one second emission region arranged next to each other in a direction parallel to the main extension plane, a light-outcoupling surface parallel to the main extension direction and arranged on a side of the second cladding layer opposite to the active layer, and a photonic crystal layer arranged in the first cladding layer or in second cladding layer. The photonic crystal layer may include a first photonic crystal structure in the first emission region and a second photonic crystal structure in the second emission region where the first and the second photonic crystal structures are different.

Abstract: A laser package is described, the laser package comprising a plurality of laser diodes (10) separately attached to at least one sub-mount (12) having respective connecting pads (11, 11A, 11C), wherein, during operation, each of the laser diodes emits light having a fast axis and a slow axis defining a fast axis plane and a slow axis plane, wherein the fast axis planes of all laser diodes are parallel to each other and the distance between the fast axis planes (59V) of at least two laser diodes is smaller than the lateral distance (59L) between these laser diodes. Furthermore, a system with at least two laser packages is described.

Abstract: Eine optische Projektionsanordnung (10) umfasst eine erste Baugruppe (10-1), die auf einem gasdichten ersten Teilsubstrat (20-1) angeordnet ist, mit einem an dem ersten Teilsubstrat (20-1) angeordneten, optoelektronischen Bauteil (30), wobei zumindest ein Teil der Sendestrahlung (32) des optoelektronischen Bauteils (30) eine Hauptabstrahlrichtung in einem Bereich von ± 30° zu einer Vertikalen des ersten Teilsubstrats (20-1) aufweist, einem gasdichten Abdeckungselement (38), das mit dem ersten Teilsubstrat (20-1) hermetisch gefügt ist, um eine hermetisch dichte Häusung für das optoelektronische Bauteil (30) bereitzustellen, wobei das Abdeckungselement (38) zumindest im Bereich der Hauptabstrahlrichtung ein für die Sendestrahlung transparentes Material aufweist, einer Linsenanordnung (40), die fest bzgl. des Abdeckungselements (38) angeordnet ist, zur Kollimation der Sendestrahlung (32) des optoelektronischen Bauteils (30), und einer Prisma-Anordnung (50), die ausgebildet ist, um die kollimierte Sendestrahlung (32) des optoelektronischen Bauteils (30) zu führen und an einer Auskoppeloberfläche (52) auszukoppeln, und ferner eine zweite Baugruppe (10-1), die auf einem zweiten Teilsubstrat (20-1) angeordnet ist, mit einer MEMS-Spiegelanordnung (60) mit einem beweglich aufgehängten und auslenkbaren MEMS-basierten Spiegelelement (62), wobei die Prisma-Anordnung (50) und die MEMS-Spiegelanordnung (60) geometrisch so zueinander angeordnet sind, dass die ausgekoppelte Sendestrahlung (32) unter einem Einfallwinkel β auf das beweglich aufgehängte MEMS-basierte Spiegelelement (62) trifft, wobei der Einfallwinkel β im Ruhezustand des MEMS-basierten Spiegelelements (62) in einem Bereich zwischen 30° und 50° liegt.
