Abstract:
There is provided a medicament dispenser comprising a body (44), a medicament container and transport means to transport a metered amount of medicament from a rest position to a delivery position wherein the transport means comprises a transport coupling (72). The coupling (72) is reversibly deformable in response to the application of non-mechanical energy thereto. The non-mechanical energy may comprise heat energy, electrical current energy, electrical field energy or magnetic field energy.
Abstract:
A gun for one-liquid polyurethane foam injection, which an axis is pulled into a knob in a nozzle if pulling the knob, thereby injecting the foam in a case through a gap between an axis tip and a tip of the nozzle, including: a rotation knob; a spring supporting tube; a plurality of balls; a spring; a connection unit; and, an infusion guiding unit.
Abstract:
Valve for an aerosol container for a chemical formulation, the valve comprising a valve body having an inlet port through which the chemical formulation may enter the valve body, and outlet port through which the chemical formulation may exit the valve body and an open/close mechanism by means of which flow through the outlet port is controllable, wherein the internal surfaces of the valve which come into contact with the chemical formulation comprise a material with an electrical conductivity greater than 3.8 x 10 OMEGA m .
Abstract:
There is provided a valve for an aerosol container. The valve comprises a valve body (1); a valve stem (7) having a dispensing passage (15), and contacting said valve stem (7), a sealing ring (9, 12) including a sealing portion; the valve stem (7) being slidably movable relative to the sealing ring (9, 12) from a valve-closed position to a valve-open position in which the interior of the valve body is in communication with the dispensing passage (15). The sealing ring (9, 12) further includes a wiper (130) to wipe the valve stem. Preferably, the valve is a metering valve.
Abstract:
The assembly comprises a package (2) and at least one outlet (4), wherein, in use, an inner space of the package is filled with a fluid (12) to be dispensed via an outlet. In the inner space of the package, there prevails a pressure which can vary. The assembly further comprises a pressure control device (22) for feeding to the outlet, via the pressure control device, the fluid (12) at a predetermined constant pressure.
Abstract:
The improved valve stem gasket of this invention comprises a flat-shaped gasket (50) with a central aperture (52) wherein the durometer of the gasket varies from a relatively low hardness value in the inner portion (A) of the gasket extending radially outward from the central aperture to a relatively higher hardness value at the radially outer portion (C) of the gasket whereat the gasket will be contacted by the upper wall portion (36) of the valve housing (26). In a preferred form of the gasket, the variation in durometer value will be gradually varied from the inner portion of the gasket to the radially outer portion of the gasket.
Abstract:
The invention provides exemplary aerosolization apparatus, and methods for aerosolizing a substance. According to one exemplary method, a liquid is transferred from a first chamber (328) into a second chamber (330) having a substance that is in a dry state to form a solution. The solution is then transferred from the second chamber (330), and onto an atomization member (308). The atomization member (308) is operated to aerosolize the solution.
Abstract:
A misting device (100) is provided. The misting device (100) includes at least one nozzle (104) configured to spray a fluid. The misting device (100) also includes a conduit configured to supply the fluid to the at least one nozzle (104). The conduit has a first end coupled to the at least one nozzle (104). The conduit has a second end that communicates with a fluid compartment (120) of a base housing (102) included in the misting device (100). The base housing (102) includes a pressure providing device (166) that communicates with the fluid compartment (120). The pressure providing device (166) is configured to cause the fluid to flow to the at least one nozzle (104) via the conduit. The base housing (102) further includes a cooling compartment (136) adjacent the fluid compartment (120). The cooling compartment (136) is configured to cool the fluid. The base housing also includes a pressurizable container (700) which is in fluid communication with the pressure providing device (166) and the at least one nozzle (104).
Abstract:
A medicinal aerosol product having a blockage resistant metered-dose valve with a metal valve stem, particularly for use with CFC-free solution formulations using hydrogen-containing propellants, such as 134a and/or 227, and ethanol. The valve stem (10) has a reduced internal volume (40) and a constant internal diameter as compared to conventional deep drawn stems. The valve stems are preferably composed of stainless steel containing at least 11.5 % chromium and are preferably fabricated by machining the outside of the stem and drilling the central outlet and side port. The stems are preferably bright annealed and/or treated with nitric or citric acid.
Abstract:
The invention provides a valve for an aerosol container suitable for use in dispensing a quantity of the contents thereof. The valve components comprise a fluorinated polymer and/or a fluorinated coating which have been found to reduce drug deposition in the valve.
