Abstract:
A system for and method of controlling an electronic display, such as an electrophoretic display, using an integrated electronic paper display controller are disclosed. The system and method provide for transparent translation of standard image data into signals sufficient to drive such displays and implement the corresponding image.
Abstract:
A graphics memory system for managing image data for a volumetric display that display volumetric images, the system including a first buffer memory with a first predefined address space for holding image data for a three-dimensional image; a second buffer memory with as second predefined address space for holding image data for a three-dimensional image, wherein the first and second predefined address spaces are the same; and a voxel router in communication with both the first and second buffer memories, wherein the voxel router is configured to use a selectable one of the first and second buffer memories as an active memory out of which stored image data is to be read for display on the volumetric display and to use the other of the first and second buffer memories as an inactive memory into which image data is to be written.
Abstract:
A graphics integrated circuit chip is used in a set-top box for controlling a television display. The graphics chip processes analog video input, digital video input, a graphics input and an audio input simultaneously. The chip incorporates a unified memory architecture that provides a high level of system performance while conserving memory bandwidth and chip size. Video and graphics scaling capabilities as well as anti-flutter filtering capability are provided.
Abstract:
A display having dots each being a minimum unit of display and comprising a storage circuit section(21) which holds an image signal for controlling display and an active element section (22) for display control according to the image signal held by the storage circuit section (21). The dots are integrally formed in accordance with the dot pattern on a substrate of a panel (1), thus saving the installation space.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A system and method for managing the transfer of color data to a shared memory in a display processing circuit for use with a color sequential display. The system comprises a shared memory and a storage queue coupled to the shared memory, wherein the storage queue includes a system for receiving and storing alternating packets of color-specific video data in the storage queue. Also provided in the storage queue is a system for separately reading contiguous sets color-specific packets in bursts from the storage queue to the shared memory, e.g. DDR-SDRAM. To read color-specific packets to the shared memory, a system is employed in which a modulo-3 addressing system is used to select color specific sets of data. Alternatively a mapping system maps sequences of color packets to color specific portions of the memory.
