Abstract:
The invention aims to solve the problem of eliminating the trade-off between the complexity of the digital image capture device and captured image reconstruction and the quality of the image. For this purpose, the invention provides a digital image capture sensor (18) including an array (16) of colour filters, which array comprises a plurality of identical basic patterns (70) which are replicated with no overlap, each basic pattern being formed by colour filters (72, 82, 84) which are pseudo-randomly arranged, such that each basic pattern (70) contains a variable pitch between two consecutive same-type colour filters in the horizontal and/or vertical directions of the basic pattern.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a CMOS image sensor. According to the present invention, the CMOS image sensor includes a two-dimensional pixel array (110), a row decoder (130), and a column decoder (150). The two-dimensional pixel array (110) includes rectangular unit pixels each having a width to length ratio of 1:2. The row decoder (130) is placed on one side of the pixel array to designate a row address. The column decoder (150) is placed on another side of the pixel array to be perpendicular to the row decoder and is adapted to extract data of respective pixels from a row selected by the row decoder, amplify the extracted data and generate image data including pixel values. As a result, the present invention is advantageous in that it can easily perform interpolation compared to an image sensor having regular quadrilateral unit pixels.

Abstract:
An imaging device capable of generating a color/sensitivity mosaic image that can be converted into a wide-dynamic-range color image signal by being subjected to a specified image processing. Light receiving elements of a CCD image sensor are disposed in a lattice form when a color G is marked regardless of sensitivity. They are disposed every other line when a color R is marked regardless of sensitivity, and are similarly disposed every other line when a color B is marked regardless of sensitivity. Therefore, this pattern P2 forms a Bayer configuration when the color of a pixel only is marked. A color mosaic configuration is realized by disposing an on-chip color filter on the top surface of a light receiving element in a CCD image sensor. A sensitivity mosaic configuration is realized by an optical method or an electronic method. This imaging device can be applied to CCD image sensors in digital cameras.
Abstract:
A photographing apparatus for preventing or reducing light leakage and an image sensor thereof are provided. The photographing apparatus includes an image sensor configured to include a plurality of pixels respectively having a Photo Diode and a Storage Diode for temporarily storing a charge accumulated in the Photo Diode and an image processor configured to perform an image processing operation by receiving the charge stored in the Storage Diode of each of the plurality of pixels. In addition, the image sensor has a structure where the Storage Diodes of the plurality of pixels are arrayed to be adjacent to each other. Accordingly, the photographing apparatus may prevent the light leakage from the adjacent pixel being flowed into a Storage Diode of each pixel.
