Abstract:
Radio Frequency (RF) transmitter adaptors, methods and articles of manufacture are disclosed. A method of adapting an RF transmitter for using in controlling a radio controlled (R/C) device having an RF receiver includes receiving a pulse-position modulation (PPM) signal from the RF transmitter, automatically selecting a channel assignment map based on the PPM signal, and generating, from the PPM signal, an RF communication signal compatible with the RF receiver for use in controlling the R/C device based on the selected channel assignment map.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a scale model course (1), designed to simulate real-world conditions with a high degree of realism. The scale model course (1) includes a course (2) comprised of an upper course section (8) on which at least one model (3) is designed to travel on its topside (10) and at least one second lower course section (11) which together form an intermediate space (15) in which at least one radio-controlled drive unit (4) is designed to operate. The drive unit (4) is via at least one magnetic coupler (5) linked with a model (3) on the topside (10) of the upper course section (8) allowing the model's (3) movement of the upper course section (8) to be controlled by the drive unit's (4) movement on the lower course section (11). The present scale model course's unique feature is that the coupler (5) includes at least one first coupling body (47) and at least one second coupling body (48), whose first coupling body (47) is comprised of at least one first magnetic trolley (49) which is connected with at least one arm (42) to the drive unit (4) and whose second coupling body (48) includes at least one magnetic body (59) which is intended to slide on the surface of the topside (10) of the upper course section (8), whose coupling body is attached to the model via a flexible elongated connection part (44) in essentially a vertical direction.
Abstract:
A radio controlled flying toy device having a duck-shaped flying object, a RC controller and an IR beam gun is provided wherein the controller and gun are respectively operated by a first and second user. Both the beam gun and RC controller can charge the flying object. The flying object has a pair of flapping wings whose speed and directional characteristics are controlled by the RC controller. The IR beam gun sequentially loads and fires IR beam radiations towards the duck object. The gun is specifically adapted to hit the duck with the IR beam, whereas the RC controller is specifically adapted to prevent the duck from being hit by the IR beam. The duck object includes a controller unit/micro controller that is configured to allow the duck to fly after being shot for two successive occasions by the gun and fall after being shot for the third successive occasion

Abstract:
The invention provides a unique interactive play experience carried out utilizing a toy "wand" 100 and/or other actuation/tracking device. In one embodiment the wand 100 incorporates a wireless transmitter and motion-sensitive circuitry adapted to actuate the transmitter in response to particular learned wand motions. The wand 100 allows play participants to electronically and "magically" interact with their surrounding play environment simply by pointing, touching and/or using their wands 100 in a particular manner to achieve desired goals or produce desired effects. Various wireless receivers or actuators are distributed throughout the play facility to support such wireless interaction and to facilitate full immersion in a fantasy experience in which participants can enjoy the realistic illusion of practicing, performing and mastering "real" magic.
Abstract:
An interactive robot gaming system comprising a remote control unit and one or more semi-autonomous mobile toy robots is provided. The remote control unit (10) has a processor, a display and control means for remotely controlling one or more semi-autonomous mobile toy robots. The semi- autonomous mobile toy robot (12) comprises an onboard control unit (62) and a memory (100) on which is stored gaming software which includes various software routines of autonomous operating modes. The onboard control unit (62) is configured to receive a high level command instruction (120) from the remote control unit (10) and in response to receiving the high level command instruction from the remote control unit, executes the software routine related to the high level command instruction thereby to autonomously perform actions in a programmable manner according to the software routine within a robot gaming environment without further command instructions from the remote control unit.
