A feeder device (20) for introducing treatment chemicals into a recirculating water stream from a swimming pool (26). The feeder device (20) includes a housing (40) having a top (42) and bottom (44) portions. A funnel-like hopper (70) having sidewalls (72) and an open bottom (74) forms the inside of the top portion (42). A grid (76) at least partially closes the open bottom (74) of the hopper. The grid (76) includes a top surface (78) and a bottom surface (80). One or more chemicals such as chlorine are contained within the sidewalls (72) of the hopper (70) and supported by the top surface (78) of the grid (76). A dissolving cup (82) having a bottom surface (84) and sidewalls (86) is positioned within the bottom portion (44). The sidewalls (86) include an opening or notch (88) of a predetermined cross-sectional area formed therein. The bottom surface (84) includes a center nozzle (90) oriented vertically toward the bottom surface (80) of the grid (76) and an off-center nozzle (91) adapted to direct the fluid horizontally in the dissolving cup (82).

A liquid dispensing system is provided for automated dispensing of a plurality of liquid reagents into a recreational body of water and includes a cartridge apparatus defining a cavity, and a cartridge front wall. A plurality of liquid reagent containers are included, each containing a respective liquid reagent and each being disposed in the cavity. A docking assembly is provided having a dock manifold device, and is releasably coupled to the cartridge apparatus between a first condition and a second condition. In the second condition, the cartridge apparatus is lockably mounted to the docking assembly in a manner permitting fluid communication through the cartridge front wall from the respective reagent container to respective fluid passages of the manifold device. A dosing engine has a valve manifold device that includes a plurality of intake ports and a dispensing port.

A method for treating a purification filter (30a, 30b, 30c) for bathwater in a baths establishment, which purification filter has a water supply conduit (31a, 31b, 31c) for water to be purified and a water discharge conduit (35a, 35b, 35c) that leads purified water to a swimming pool in the baths establishment, in which method a disinfecting agent is supplied to said purification filter. According to the invention, said disinfecting agent is supplied.(93a, 93b, 93c) to said water supply conduit while the water supply conduit and the water discharge conduit are both open for water running through the purification filter, until said disinfecting agent has penetrated essentially all the way through the purification filter, where after the supply of disinfecting agent is stopped and the water supply conduit and the water discharge conduit are closed of water running through and the disinfecting agent is allowed to act on the purification filter. The invention also relates to a control method for the method.

Systems and apparatus for cleaning swimming pools or other vessels are disclosed. Exemplary systems may include an automatic swimming pool cleaner (10) adapted not only to filter (43) debris from water mechanically, but to dispense water sanitizing chemicals (62) as well. Fluid drawn into the cleaner in operation contacts or otherwise passes through media containing the chemicals, purifying the fluid at least partially within the cleaner itself.

Systems and methods for providing network connectivity and remote monitoring, optimization, and control of pool/spa equipment are provided. "Internet-of- Things" (IoT) functionality is provided for pool and spa equipment in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Network connectivity and remote monitoring/control of pool and spa equipment is provided by various components such as a network communication and local control subsystem installed in pool/spa equipment, and other components. Also disclosed are various control processes ("pool logic") which can be embodied as software code installed in any of the various embodiments of the present disclosure.

A package system is disclosed for dispensing controlled amounts of a chemical agent. The package system includes an outer package that is generally gas and liquid impermeable. The outer package contains an inner package made from a degradable material, such as a material that is water degradable. The inner package contains a measured amount of a chemical agent. The chemical agent may be difficult to handle and may have corrosive properties, may be an oxidizer, or the like. The package system facilitates dispensing the chemical agent into a particular environment. In one embodiment, the package system is designed to hold a chemical agent for treating recreational water sources, such as swimming pools.

El procedimiento para la gestión del agua en una piscina se caracteriza porque comprende las siguientes etapas: conectar un dispositivo de limpieza del fondo de la piscina; seleccionar un modo operativo específico para la limpieza del fondo de la piscina, en el que se ignora la medición del caudal y de la presión del agua; y aplicar a una bomba una velocidad fija asociada a un caudal predeterminado para dicho modo operativo. Permite que la limpieza del fondo de la piscina pueda realizarse correctamente, al proporcionar un modo operativo específico para esta función, sin generar alarmas incorrectas.
