Abstract:
Provided is a switching type multi-purpose water sprayer, and more particularly, a switching type multi-purpose water sprayer with not only a switching type spraying button for more convenience, but also an operating portion that is formed linearly to minimize manufacturing cost. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a switching type water sprayer including: a rotatable rotating body with a plurality of the spraying holes and a water discharging tube formed inside the rotating body; and a ' '-shaped handle connected to the water spraying portion , and an operating lever and a hose connecting portion. When the switching button is pressed, water is sprayed, and when it is pressed once more, flow of water is blocked, providing convenience in use. Furthermore, by forming an elongated operating lever, even under high water pressure conditions, the opening and closing hole can be easily opened, providing convenience in use.
Abstract:
A spray nozzle (500) having a grip (502), a nose (504) having a spray end (506), a valve housing (550) defining a closed end, an inlet port (552) and an outlet port (568) and a valve (588) mounted within the housing (550). The valve (588) has a flow portion (590), a first seal (594) on one side of the flow portion (590) and a second seal (598) on another side of the flow portion (590). The valve (588) has a first position wherein the valve (588) prevents the flow of fluid between the inlet port (552) and the outlet port (568) and a second position wherein the valve (588) permits the flow of fluid between the inlet port (552) and the outlet port (568). The first seal (594) and the second seal (598) are positioned to one side of the inlet port (552) in the first position and the first seal (594) and the second seal (598) are positioned on opposite sides of the inlet port (552) and the outlet port (568) in the second position.
Abstract:
A spray gun (12) for spraying fluent material comprising a valve chamber (35), a nozzle (15) connected to the chamber at one end thereof, inlet and outlet ports (33, 34) communicating with the valve chamber (35), and a valve element (41) having a hollow interior (44) displaceable in the chamber between closed and open positions. The valve element is operable in the closed position to extend betwen the inlet and the outlet ports (33, 34) to allow flow of material through the inlet (33) into the hollow interior (44) of the valve element and out through the inlet (33) into: a first partial flow through the hollow interior (44) of the valve element (41) and out of the hollow interior (44) and the valve chamber (35) through the outlet (34); and a second partial flow through the spray nozzle (15), whereby the flow through the outlet (34) is uninterrupted when the inlet (33) is receiving the material under pressure.
Abstract:
Water mist nozzles and methods of installation in which a water mist nozzle (10) has a main body with multiple orifice inserts (12b,12d,16) secured to the body that are configured differently to provide varying spray patterns and mist from a single device. The main body has a central bore (22) with a plurality of sockets (24b,24d,24e) formed about the central bore into which an orifice insert is secured. Each orifice insert (12b,12d,16) has at least one inlet, at least one outlet and an internal chamber. Among the plurality of orifice inserts is an orifice insert (12b,12d) of a first type to generate a fluid mist for providing indirect impingement of a fire (total flooding) and an orifice insert (16) of a second type to generate a fluid mist or spray tor providing direct impingement of a fire plume in the protection of an object or space.

Abstract:
A blocker apparatus (20) for blocking a stream (22) of high-pressure fluid includes a blocking member in the form of a sphere or ball (30), or a rod (160) receivable within a partially surrounding seat (34/162) at the forward end of a seat carrier (40) to rotate in the seat. The seat carrier (40) is extended and retracted by an actuator (32) to place the blocking member within the path of the stream (22) and/or remove the blocking member from the path of the high-pressure stream. The blocking member is replaced by simply lifting the blocking member (30/160) off of the seat (34/162) and lowering a new blocking member into the seat.
