Abstract:
A processing method for stream media contents is provided. The method includes steps as follows: encrypting stream media contents and generating the corresponding entitlement control message (ECM) and entitlement management message (EMM); transmitting the encrypted data stream, ECM and EMM to a terminal, wherein segmenting each I frame in the encrypted stream media contents to multiple data packets to transmit and sending ECM in the course of transmitting the multiple data packets. A conditional access system and a processing system for stream media contents are also provided. With the above scheme, the fuzzy screen phenomena appearing in processing stream media contents can be eliminated, and the time for handover channel or dark screen can be reduced, then the user experience can be improved.
Abstract:
A system and method for ordering content for a user device includes an ordering interface such as an interactive interface having available content. The interactive interface receives a content selection corresponding to a content from the interactive interface and communicating a customer identifier and a material identification to a transaction system. A content processing system communicates a control word to the user device. A user device receives the content corresponding to the material identification.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described that desynchronize a video to be protected, thereby creating one or more digitally fingerprinted videos. In one implementation, a video to be protected is temporally desynchronized and spatially desynchronized. A fingerprinted copy of the video, as modified by the temporal and spatial desynchronizations, is created.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for control of data and content protection mechanisms across a network using a download delivery paradigm. In one embodiment, conditional access (CA), digital rights management (DRM), and trusted domain (TD) security policies are delivered, configured and enforced with respect to consumer premises equipment (CPE) within a cable television network. A trusted domain is established within the user's premises within which content access, distribution, and reproduction can be controlled remotely by the network operator. The content may be distributed to secure or non-secure "output" domains consistent with the security policies enforced by secure CA, DRM, and TD clients running within the trusted domain. Legacy and retail CPE models are also supported. A network security architecture comprising an authentication proxy (AP), provisioning system (MPS), and conditional access system (CAS) is also disclosed, which can interface with a trusted authority (TA) for cryptographic element management and CPE/user device authentication.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A system and method for generating and processing forensic information for digital cinema content in an efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining the integrity and quality of the digital cinema images. Customized forensic content, which includes at least one of visible pictorial and text data, is generated for display with corresponding digital cinema content. The digital cinema content is analyzed for determining at least one of a location and time for incorporating the forensic content with the digital cinema content. Real-time information is incorporated into the customized forensic content, the real-time information including data indicating, e.g., at least one of an actual time, date and location pertaining to each actual showing of the digital cinema content. The customized forensic content having real-time information is unobtrusive yet easily and quickly detectable and decipherable during forensic analysis.
Abstract:
A method of operating a Reliable Transmission Protocol switch node to provide an IPTV multicast. IP packets transporting an encrypted media stream are received from an IPTV Head-end. The media stream contains complete image frames. Unencrypted identifiers identifying packets containing complete image frame data are also received. The received packets are stored in a buffer, and on receipt of a request from a media renderer to provide the IPTV multicast, the packet(s) containing the last complete image frame in the media stream and all subsequent packets are sent to the media renderer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for validating access to a product (P1) by means of a security module (SM) associated with a user unit (STB) connected unidirectionally to an access control system transmitting management messages addressed to the security module (SM), said messages being generated by the access control system (CAS) following the reception of a request for a right of access to a product consisting of broadcast digital data. Said method comprises the following steps: a product (P1) proposed by the user unit is purchased and the security module (SM) checks that the amount associated with the product (P1) is covered by the remaining credit; in the event of a positive response, a code (CP1) representing the product (P1) purchased is determined; said code (CP1) is displayed on a visualisation element associated with the user unit (STB); a request (RQ) comprising at least said code (CP1) and an identifier (ID'SM) representing the identifier (IDSM) of the security module (SM) is transmitted to the administration centre (CG) via a channel which is independent of the user unit (STB); the validity of the code (CP1) and the identifier of the security module (IDSM) is checked by the access control system (CAS), and a rights confirmation message (CEMM) addressed to the user unit (STB) associated with the security module (SM) is transmitted. The invention is characterised in that during the purchase of the product (P1), a temporary right (D1t) is written into the security module (SM) when the remaining credit is equal to or higher than the amount associated with the product (P1), said temporary right (D1t) being replaced by a definitive right (D1) by the rights confirmation message (CEMM) received from the administration centre (CG), the definitive right (D1) authorising the access to the product (P1) purchased by debiting the amount associated with the product (P1).
Abstract:
A method for compressing and transmitting a sequence of video frames represented by arrays of digital pixel values includes the following steps: transmitting a representation of a first frame (h) of the sequence; deriving a sorting permutation P 1 of the first frame; using the sorting permutation of the first frame, P 1 , to approximately sort a second frame (I 2 ) of the sequence, to obtain approximately sorted frame P1(I 2 ); and compressing and transmitting the approximately sorted frame P 1 (I 2 ).
