La présente invention concerne un dispositif de maintien (1) d'une succession d'éléments plats en forme de feuilles circulant dans une machine de traitement (100) suivant une trajectoire de transport T donnée. L'invention est remarquable en ce que le dispositif de maintien (1) comporte deux séries d'organes d'aspiration (10, 20) qui sont composées chacune de plusieurs organes d'aspiration (11, 21) disposés les uns à côté des autres de façon espacée, perpendiculairement à la trajectoire de transport T des feuilles, en ce que les organes d'aspiration (11, 21) de chaque série (10, 20) sont décalés transversalement par rapport aux organes d'aspiration (11, 21) de l'autre série (10, 20), et en ce qu'au moins une série d'organes d'aspiration (20) est montée mobile en déplacement parallèlement à la trajectoire de transport T des feuilles, entre une position rétractée et une position déployée.
Abstract:
In order to enable simple and easy handling of a large number of large format sheets, an output assembly is provided. The output assembly comprises a lower output tray element for receiving the sheets. In order to reliably transport and deposit a large format sheet from the printing device onto the lower output tray element, a guide element is provided just below an output opening of the printing device such to guide a leading edge of the sheet onto the lower output tray element. Once the leading edge is supported by the lower output tray element, the guide element is retracted such to enable a trailing edge to be deposited on the lower output tray element.

This invention provides a system and method for aligning, feeding, trimming, slitting, rotating, cross-slitting and stacking sheets, each containing one or more discrete page images thereon that allows for greater automation of the overall process so that reduced or no manual intervention is required to generate completed book stacks or "blocks" from a stream or stack of printed sheets. Sheets are fed downstream on a feed surface (124), trimmed at a first, upstream trimming station (720) to remove margin edges and optionally separate the sheets relative to the discrete page images. The sheets are then rotated 90 degrees and fed to a second, downstream trimming station (840) that trims the right-angle edges and optionally separates the sheets into a final group of full-bleed pages, removing margins and gutter strips. The sheets are feed to a stacking assembly (5060, 5840) to be tacked in page order and any rejected, defective sheets or stacks are removed from the order. Trimming stations can be automatically adjusted to accommodate different numbers and sizes of pages in sheets. The stacking assembly can include a right- angle merge assembly (3780) that can include a plurality of decks, served by divert gates (1310, 2170, 3170, 3640, 3650, 3792) to handle a large number of separated pages to-be-stacked.

A device for setting down at least one sheet (10), having a first conveyor (14) and a second conveyor (16) which are each designed to convey a sheet in a conveying direction (FR) relative to a setting-down area (12), wherein the first conveyor is provided so as to actively engage with a first edge region of the sheet and the second conveyor is provided so as to actively engage with a second edge region of the sheet; and having a first guide device (22) which is arranged between the first conveyor and the second conveyor and which is inclined relative to these such that the spacing between the setting-down area and the first guide device decreases in the conveying direction, and wherein the first conveyor, the second conveyor and the first guide device interact such that the sheet conveyed in the conveying direction can bear against the first guide device and, as a result of the conveyance in the conveying direction, before the setting-down of the sheet on the setting-down area, can be diverted in the direction of the setting-down area such that the spacing between the center of the sheet and the setting-down area is smaller than the spacing between the edge regions of the sheet and the setting-down area.

L'actionneur (22) possède au moins un organe de protection (281, 282) du dernier objet (N) de la pile (P) en formation, cet organe de protection tant propre s'intercaler entre ce dernier objet et un objet courant (N+l) provenant du couloir d'arrivée.
