Abstract:
A method and composition is disclosed for making conductive flow field separator plates having reduced resistivity, lower weight and lower cost. The plates are made by blending from about 0.5 wt% to about 40 wt%, preferably from about 1 wt% to about 30 wt%, most preferably from about 5 wt% to about 20 wt%, of the liquid crystal polymer; from about 0.5 wt% to about 40 wt%, preferably from about 1 wt% to about 30 wt%, most preferably from about 5 wt% to about 20 wt% of the poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride); and from about 20 wt% to about 99 wt%, preferably from about 60 wt% to about 98 wt%, most preferably from about 70 wt% to about 90 wt% of the conductive filler. The blend is then moulded to form the conductive flow field separator plates.

Abstract:
This invention describes improved compositions comprising crosslinkable substantially random ethylene-propylene vinyl aromatic monomer interpolymers, exemplified by ethylene-propylene-styrene (EPS) interpolymers, and articles fabricated from these compositions. Any known methods of crosslinking may be used (including peroxides, e-beam radiation, silane chemistries and combinations thereof).

Abstract:
This invention deals with the development of improved SMT performance flame retardant polyamide compositions. The compositions include replacing the poly bromostyrene or brominated polystyrene with a copolymer of a halostyrene and glycidyl (meth) acrylate. The resulting composition results in greatly improved blistering performance in Surface Mounting Technology Applications.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to substantially free-flowing polymer particles. The polymer particles are those which have a one millimeter penetration temperature of less than about 75 DEG C as determined by thermal mechanical analysis or an unconfined yield strength of greater than about 15 pounds per square foot (73 kilograms per square meter). The composition also comprises an effective amount of an anti-blocking agent in the presence or absence of a binding agent.
Abstract:
The low gloss in a powder coating comprising an epoxy resin, a carboxylic acid-terminated polyester and a styrene-maleic anhydride resin is imparted by the inclusion of a curing catalyst such as an onium compound.
