Abstract: A precious metal leaching method includes providing a slurried feed, comprising (i) in the solid phase, a refractory sulfide-containing material, the material comprising at least about 0.05 oz/tonne of a precious metal, at least about 0.75 wt.% sulfides, optionally at least about 0.1 wt.% feldspar (i.e., muscovite), and at least 0.3 wt.% preg-robbing carbonaceous material; and oxidizing the sulfide-containing material at more than about 240°C and super-atmospheric pressure to oxidize at least most of the carbonaceous material and optionally convert at least most of the sulfide sulfur to sulfate sulfur and form an oxidized precious metal-containing material, wherein at least one of the following is performed during oxidizing: maintaining a pH of at least about pH 1.5; maintaining at least about 98.5% of the feldspar (i.e., muscovite) in the solid phase; maintaining a dissolved cupric ion concentration of at least about 0.25 g/L; and maintaining the slurried feed under subcritical or supercritical water operating conditions.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to autonomous vehicles and associated mechanical, electrical and electronic hardware, computing software, including autonomy applications, image processing applications, etc., and computing systems, and wired and wireless network communications to facilitate autonomous control of vehicles, and, more specifically, to systems, devices, and methods configured to navigate autonomous vehicles under one or more fault conditions. In some examples, a method may include localizing an autonomous vehicle, accessing map data to identify safe zones, computing drive parameters and alternate drive parameters, detecting an anomalous event, and apply alternate drive parameters to a vehicle control unit.

Abstract: Generally speaking, embodiments of the present disclosure include a network security system that can comprise a hardware appliance installed in a vehicle and connected with the busses, networks, communication systems, and other components of the vehicle. This in-vehicle network security appliance can provide an access point to the networks of the vehicle, such as the Controller Area Networks (CANs), Local Interconnect Networks (LINs) and other networks, monitor inbound and outbound traffic on those networks, and provide a firewall between those networks and external networks or systems as well as between different networks and systems within the vehicle. In this way, the network security appliance can protect the vehicle networks from different sources of attack from outside and inside the vehicle via components that are less secure like the infotainment system or diagnostic port.

Abstract: Devices, methods and systems for removing unwanted tissue from within a patient's vasculature system are provided. Specifically, a laser ablation catheter having a tip with an open, arched-shaped cross section is described. The cross section of the tip enhances the catheter's ability to ablate, separate, and/or dilate the various layers within a patient's vasculature, thereby facilitating the removal undesirable lesions and fibrous tissue within a patient's vasculature.

Abstract: Methods and systems for removing an object, such as a lead, from formed tissue are provided. Specifically, a lead removal sleeve is configured to engage patient formed tissue at a dilation engagement point. The lead removal sleeve is configured to dilate the formed tissue around a lead, while providing an inner lumen with clearance for the lead to move within the sleeve. It is an object of the lead removal sleeve to support the formed tissue, and even forces of the formed tissue, with a structure of the sleeve as the lead is removed from a patient. The methods and systems are well suited for use in cardiac pacing or defibrillator lead explant procedures.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a process for applying a design to a sheet metal for use in a portion of a container, for example a cap or an end of a food container. Embodiments provide for applying a multi-color design in a single printing step to a sheet of metal to create a printed metal sheet that can then be rolled into a printed coil or cut to length. The printed metal sheet can then be cut pressed into can ends or caps. The ends or caps with the multi-color design can then be used to manufacture containers, such as a beverage container.
