Abstract:
A method and an apparatus of determining a point for processing a workpiece, the method comprises: acquiring a plurality of model contour points representing a contour of a model associated with the workpiece and a model point representing a position for processing the model(202); acquiring a plurality of workpiece contour points representing a contour of the workpiece(204); and determining, based on the plurality of model contour points and the plurality of workpiece contour points, a workpiece point that corresponds to the model point for processing the workpiece(206).
Abstract:
A computing system includes a mobile device having a wireless transceiver and an orientation sensor that senses orientation of the mobile device and generates orientation data based on the sensed orientation. A controller converts the orientation data to graphical pointer data, which is transmitted via the wireless transceiver to a local computing device, which translates the graphical pointer data to represent a graphical pointer being displayed on its display. The graphical pointer is controlled on the display of the local computing device by changing orientation of the mobile device.
Abstract:
A surface covering is provided. The surface covering is made of a composition of a polymer a bio-based plasticizer, a stabilizer, and a co-stabilizer.
Abstract:
A method of pressure forming a brown part from metal and/or ceramic particle feedstocks includes: introducing into a mold cavity or extruder a first feedstock and one or more additional feedstocks or a green or brown state insert made from a feedstock, wherein the different feedstocks correspond to the different portions of the part; pressurizing the mold cavity or extruder to produce a preform having a plurality of portions corresponding to the first and one or more additional feedstocks, and debinding the preform. Micro voids and interstitial paths from the interior of the preform part to the exterior allow the escape of decomposing or subliming backbone component substantially without creating macro voids due to internal pressure. The large brown preform may then be sintered and subsequently thermomechanically processed to produce a net wrought microstructure and properties that are substantially free the interstitial spaces.
Abstract:
Candesartan cilexetil-containing granules which include a sugar alcohol and a binder and which are produced by granulation with an alcoholic granulating liquid. The granules are suitable for producing tablets in which the candesartan cilexetil is present in a form stabilized with regard to decomposition.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A medical delivery device comprising an elongate body (12) having a plunger (16) slidably and sealingly engaged to form a cavity (40) to receive fluid materials and a first outlet disposed at an end of said body and has a male luer end portion (82) and a valve assembly (38) is disposed within the first outlet. The valve assembly (65) has a valve means movable between an open position and a closed position and biasing means for biasing the valve means to a closed position. Actuating means (56)are disposed within the male luer end portion (86) and coupled to the valve means such that the valve means is movable to an open position when a female luer end portion of a medical accessory is coupled with the male luer end portion. A second outlet is disposed at the same end as the first outlet for controlling the exchange of gases from the environment to said cavity under the action of the plunger. Lastly, a third outlet is disposed at the same end as the first outlet for controlling the exchange of gases from the cavity to the environment under the action of the plunger.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a system for the collection, treatment and delivery of an autologous blood sample, comprising a first syringe having a first body portion. A first sample transfer portion has a first syringe inlet for drawing an untreated blood sample from a patient and a first syringe outlet for dispensing the untreated blood sample. A blood sample treatment chamber having a chamber inlet, the first syringe outlet being operable to establish a dedicated first fluid coupling with the chamber inlet to dispense the untreated blood sample to the blood sample treatment chamber. The blood sample treatment chamber having a chamber outlet for dispensing a treated blood sample following treatment. The second syringe has a second body portion and a second sample transfer portion, the second sample transfer portion having a passage with a first access location which is operable to form a dedicated second fluid coupling with the chamber outlet. The second body portion has a second syringe outlet, the passage having a second access location for fluid communication with the second syringe outlet, releasable lock means for forming a locked third fluid coupling between the second access location and the second syringe outlet. The lock means is operable in response to a release signal to release the third fluid coupling, the second syringe outlet being operable when released from the third fluid coupling to form a fourth fluid coupling with a blood sample delivery unit.
Abstract:
A device (12) for controlling the collection and delivery of materials to a patient, the device has a dispenser-engaging portion (20), the dispenser-engaging portion (20) being operable in a release position to receive a materials dispenser (51, 52) when the dispenser is in a materials-containing configuration, the dispenser-engaging portion (20) being operable in a lock condition for locking the dispenser (51, 52) therewith, and access control means for controlling the release and lock positions according to a material transaction condition.
Abstract:
A surface covering system is described where two or more polymeric planks are connected to each other by a bonding agent which contains at least one solvent capable of at least bonding the edges of the polymeric portion of the planks wherein the bonding agent is present on at least one edge of at least one plank and/or is present on a connector, like a spline, if one is used, in joining the planks. Also described is a method to connect two or more polymeric planks which involves applying the bonding agent to at least one plank edge and/or spline, if present, prior to or after connecting the second or more planks together.
