The invention relates to an infra-red reflecting layered structure comprising a transparent substrate layer; a first metal oxide layer; a first silver containing layer; a second metal oxide layer; a second silver containing layer and a third metal oxide layer. The first, second and third metal oxide layer have a refractive index of at least 2.40 at a wavelength of 500 nm. The layered structure according to the present invention laminated on glass has a visual light transmittance (VLT) higher than 70 % and a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) lower than 0.44. The invention further relates to the use of a layered structure as a transparent heat-mirror.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a reflector for an infrared radiating element. The reflector comprises a metal foil coated with - a first oxide layer deposited on the metal foil; - an infrared reflecting metal layer deposited on said first oxide layer; and - a second oxide layer deposited on said infrared reflecting layer. The first oxide layer is functioning as a diffusion barrier layer and is preventing the diffusion of the metal of the infrared reflecting layer in the substrate. The second oxide layer is functioning as a protective layer for the infrared reflecting layer giving the infrared reflecting layer the required thermal stability.

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for the deposition of a metal or a metal oxide coating on an elongated substrate. The apparatus comprises a winding system holding an elongated substrate and a housing surrounding the winding system and provided with a heating system. The winding system holding the elongated substrate is mounted in such a way that it can be rotated inside the housing.The apparatus is in particular suitable to deposit superconducting metal oxide coatings.

The dielectric material has a relative dielectric constant ε r constant higher than 20 and a thickness lower than 1 µm. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a wound capacitor.
