The device comprises a casing having a base end, a top portion opposite the base end and side wall portions intermediate the base end and the top portion, and a squeezer insertable in the casing. The squeezer comprises two opposing jaws for gripping and expressing a substance from the tube, and the casing has an aperture in the top portion through which a discharge outlet of the tube is extendable. The casing also has apertures in opposing parts of the side wall portions through which the jaws are actuatable. The squeezer has a manuallever element on at least one jaw, with thelever element being attached to the jaw by a fulcrum in an arrangement wherein manual pressure applied to the lever element about the fulcrum causes flexing of the jaw.

Reaction products of these photocurable compositions have a low level of extractable halide ion, such as less than 100 ppm. Quaternary boron salts are used as initiators of polymerisation in two-part acrylic adhesive compositions for bonding low surface energy substrates such as polyolefins. The two-part compositions comprise part A) the quaternary boron salt and at least one (meth)acrylate monomer; and part B) at least one (meth)acrylate monomer together with a compound reactive with the quaternary boron salt to free an organoborane therefrom. Parts A and B can be used in a 1:1 ratio. The quaternary boron salts are of the formula (I) wherein R 1 is C 1 -C 10 alkyl, R 2 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different, are, C 1 -C 10 alkyl or C 3 - C 10 cycloalkyl, phenyl, or phenyl-substituted C 1 -C 10 alkyl or C 3 - C 10 cycloalkyl, provided that any two of R l - R 4 may optionally be part of a carbocyclic ring, and M + is a quaternary ammonium ion. Particular examples of initiator compounds include tetramethylammonium phenyl triethyl borate, and tetra methyl ammonium phenyl tri-n-butyl borate, the latter of which is a novel compound.

The squeezer (11) and the carrier (14) are integrally formed so as to form a unitary body. The device allows ease of expression of the substance from the tube (24).
