Abstract:
There is provided a method in a node of an information centric network, the method comprising: receiving a request for a content object from a requesting node; retrieving the content object from a local content store; returning the content object to the requesting node; and sending a measurement message to a measurement node.
Abstract:
A method is provided in a first device for synchronizing an advertisement to be played on a second device with an advertisement being played on the first device. The method comprises receiving (step 201) a data transport stream, the data transport stream comprising a first advertisement for playing on the first device; determining (step 203) whether the received data transport stream comprises an application to be launched upon playing the first advertisement and, if so, launching the application (step 205); and sending (step 207) synchronization information to a network node, for enabling a network node to provide advertisement synchronization to a second device based on the first advertisement being played on the first device.
Abstract:
A system (42, 115) and method (22, 32) that enables a user (52) to interact with an advertisement and express an opinion about it. Such user interactivity is provided through a Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV, HbbTV, auto-start application, which is associated with an advertisement event and a Uniform Resource Locator, URL, to the auto-start application is carried in a Digital Video Broadcast Application Information Table, DVB AIT, of the broadcast transport stream (75, 90) associated with the TV program or channel where the advertisement is to be shown. The hybrid terminal (44) receiving the AIT-containing transport stream retrieves the auto-start application using the URL before the corresponding ad is played back to the viewer. When the ad is played, the retrieved application is simultaneously launched. The application's UI (100, 102) allows the user to interact with the ad or express an opinion about the content of the ad. A user's interaction with an advertisement can be tracked as well.
Abstract:
Systems and methods according to the exemplary embodiments provide for chat session handling in IPTV systems. A chat server can be configured to forward text messages associated with a particular chat session toward an IPTV terminal for output thereon. Chat message entry can be performed by using a wireless text entry device, e.g., a mobile phone. An IPTV control server can be configured to recognize a request for a chat session which involves output of chat messages on an IPTV terminal, and to verify that the user has a linked mobile phone and IPTV subscriptions.
Abstract:
There is provided a method in a node of an information centric network, the method comprising: receiving an interest message from a node, the interest message identifying a named content object and comprising a delete flag; deleting the named content object from a local content store; checking an interest table for a record of a previous interest message identifying the named content object and comprising a delete flag, and, if no such entry is present in the interest table, then forwarding the received interest message to all interfaces, except the one by which it was received.
Abstract:
There is provided a method in a serving node of an information centric network, the method comprising: receiving an interest message referring to a first content object from a requesting node; processing the name of the first content object and the payload of the received interest message to generate the name of a second content object; and replying to the interest message with a redirect message, wherein the redirect message comprises the name of the second content object.
Abstract:
There is provided a requesting node in an information centric network, the node arranged to send a request for a named content item relating to particular content, the request indicating that all related named content items required for presentation of the particular content are also requested. The node is further arranged to store the request in an interest table, and receive a plurality of named content items in response to the request, and upon receipt of a named content item that indicates that no more additional named content items are to be received in response to the request, then the request is deleted from the interest table.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes methods and entities for audience measurement by making use of automatic application loading to support audience measurement data collecting.
Abstract:
A system (42) and method (22) for signaling timing and content of personalized ads to a hybrid terminal (44) via a television broadcast/multicast network (46). The currently-present ad insertion markers in the transport stream of the broadcast/multicast content are replaced by a Service Information, SI, table (82) that contains information corresponding to the replaced markers. The table-containing transport stream is then delivered to the hybrid terminal. The SI table may include a manifest (143) to signal upcoming time slots for advertising. The manifest may provide information about sources from which the hybrid terminal can fetch personalized advertisements and may also identify available time slots in the transport stream for inserting the fetched ads. To enable the hybrid terminal to present personalized advertisements to its viewer, the SI table may identify an Ad Decision Server, ADS, (60) from which the hybrid terminal can request targeted ads for playback to the viewer watching a broadcast/multicast TV program.
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE), a Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and methods are provided for facilitating access to a second service (e.g. IPTV, IP Television) when the user registers with a network for a first service (e.g. IMS, IP Multimedia Subsystem service, or 2G mobile service). For example, the user employs his mobile terminal to register for IMS service, then requests a security token for the provision of the second service. The network validates the user subscription and provides the security token associated with the 2 nd service, e.g. with IPTV. The user can input the security token for obtaining access to the 2 nd service, e.g. from another terminal. For example, the user can input the token, e.g. in the form of a PIN code, on an ITF (IP Television Terminal Function) to be provided personalised IPTV service, or for performing IPTV parental control on his IPTV subscription involving multiple users.
